Really hope this ends up being more stable than the last entry.

Edit: I'm an idiot. Can a mod put Just Cause 4 in the title? Lol.

ill never buy or preorder a just cause game again. its absurd how bad each patch got and how each patch introduced new DLC
the game was a fps mess on ps4 and on pc

I couldn't tell the difference between the two. I'm sure DF will point it out in due course but so far the frames look stable.

My best guesses:

Pro somewhere between 900p and 1080p (don't know if they are using dynamic resolution) with some framerate drops
X looks to be around 1440p.

There is a distinct lack of good AA.

it looks... surprisingly smooth. i hope it runs well on a base ps4.

ummm what? yea no. no way that the pro and the X are running on that low of resolution haha, they still need to make a base versions and no way they will release an X1 version with below 720p res.

maybe Dark1x could do a resolution analysis based on the footage/ if you possibly already have the console versions to set it for yourself it will be great to know.

It didn't have the game name Just Cause in there is all.

Ah ok, thanks.

Framerate seems great really, huge difference compared to 3.

When we get to the driving part (which looks meh to me) I saw a very clear visual difference between the two. Plenty of aliasing during the PS4 parts.

It looks like the resolution is dynamic and is scaling surprisingly low on the Pro there which is odd.

Performance looks far better than 3 though across the board.

Man, they REALLY got the performance locked down now!
Game looks phenomenal. I'm presuming i can just now skip JC3 now entirely. I was thinking of finally putting in proper time on the One X, but this seems to completely invalidate it now.

JC3 was unplayable, so I'm very concerned for this game. Wishing them good luck.

All the pre-release footage tricked me on the last game. Wont happen again. And the fact that they never bothered to fix much of what was wrong with the last game is why I have no problem wishing those devs a hearty FUCK YOU with their new release.

Looks like they tightened up framerate and driving, which were my main issues with JC3.

Will enjoy picking this up -- but only at a lower pricepoint.

Very encouraging. I can handle some occasional framerate drops, as long as it never gets anywhere near as appalling as Just Cause 3. What a technical disaster that game is.

Also pleased to see that they appear to have toned down enemy aggression and accuracy. JC3 ruined the fun of blowing stuff up by forcing you to constantly flee from swarming, relentless enemies. The missions they're showing here may not be representative of the overall difficulty level, but I'm hopeful the devs realized that no one comes to this series for the gunplay.

JC3 def feels like it was made for ps3 and then re purposed for ps4. JC4 looks like it was actually made for this gen.

Holy fuck, driving looks so much fucking better. JC3's driving was fucking atrocious. Like, the game wanted you to go fast but then tried to have realistic controls so you'd spiral out of control. Felt like shit with the vast majority of cars

So it looks like it runs pretty well on Pro even with a lot of shit going on. It seemed like it would after that digital foundry video recently with how they described some of the changes with the new engine and how it handles multi core CPUs better, but it's good to see it in action.

That would have been fun, except for them tying parts of progression to it. And you missing out on maximizing gears because the car decided that instead of turning it wants to flip end over end. While I am ranking fuck searching for packages/intercoms in villiages.

Coming off of a play of RDR2, Rico's ease of movement and immediate access to FUN are a joy to behold. I'm in.

Looks like it runs well, which is definitely a nice thing. I'll probably get this in the future during a good sale.

Around 4:30 is where shit gets real on Pro. In the middle of the dust storm and using the wind gun to shatter everything around him and then all the debris is getting tossed into the storm and it doesn't appear to drop a single frame. I'm blown away by the performance.

I'll wait for reviews, DF analysis and probably a price drop week after launch but this looks fun

A bunch of folks are streaming the game now, it looks really good. Folks are really pushing the limits on the physics engine.

I beat the game on ps4, brought it again on PC and stopped after the first racing challenge. I am glad they switched it back to Chaos as the way of unlocking
