Multiple people hinting at Metroid Prime 4 being at The Game Awards?

I'm really curious how they'll unveil the gameplay.
Will it be a story trailer with in game footage kinda like that BOTW Switch presentation trailer? Just straight up gameplay from whatever section? I don't know if that would "show" well since Prime is usually slow unless they do some dumb Uncharted setpiece kinda thing lol.

Every time I see an admin tag I get scared that they're going to dash our hopes, but it hasn't happened yet so I'm still hyped! Thanks for all the work you guys do btw.

To be fair he hasn't really done much actual composition work since the first DKCR. It will probably be his understudies or someone else entirely.
I really like the idea of Switch having *almost* every Retro Studios game ever made.

This needs to change. Bundle it with the SNES trilogy and sell it for $60!
Oh my. I'm going to assume you're not hinting here, but I took what Kinda Funny Games cast said and did as a hint that Retro's game will be shown at the Game Awards.
Of course I got some ridicule for it around here lol.
Samus Returns ZSS is almost perfect if it weren't for those awful heels. In any case, I don't want them to even touch ZSS before I see what they do with the character in the suit.
They really should've bundled Returns and Tropical Freeze.

It's the first time that these games will be in high definition. So I'm sure they'll put a tiny bit of work into touching up the graphics.
I thought that had to do with Sega, but I'm not sure. MPT is full Nintendo game so.
I thought it was a game size issue. With all these remasters nowadays being 3-4x the size of the original game I would hope MPT can fit on a cartridge.
It just depends on what exactly they're doing with the port.
I would hope because there are some areas in Prime 2 that have not aged well at all. The skybox/wallpaper backgrounds are super low quality so a replacement would be nice.

I looked up the size of Bayo 1 + 2. It looks like Bayo 1 is 8.5 GB and Bayo 2 is 12.4. I guess it makes sense they weren't on one cartridge.
Metroid Prime, but I would say that the Trilogy itself is the best one. Each game has its strong points.

you did follow the leaks about that starfox racer game being in development hell, right? chances were actually high that game would get cancelled.

I really hope the Prime Trilogy gets a Wind Walter HD style remake. Really want to see those games at their full potential.
I would expect any MP Trilogy to be closer to Twilight Princess HD than Wind Waker HD. We'll probably get some high-res textures and lighting tweaks and that's about it. Which is fine, the art direction in the games still holds up fine.
I would also expect a new control scheme that is fairly similar to whatever they're planning for MP4, so most likely dual analog+motion aim.

If the HD trilogy is coming I think they will save it for a January direct or something so metroid 4 will have its own space at the game awards
I really like this too. Tropical Freeze is already one of my faves on Switch.
There was no report about Star Fox GP being in development hell. There were reports about another game that's most likely canceled, but we don't even know if this one was in dev hell or if it just didn't get greenlighted or something.
What Liam Robertson said tho, is that the game is apparently beautiful, and that people involved in the project are really excited about it.
I hope so since as we saw with Go Vacation and others, Nintendo can't really price a game less than 49,99 even if it's a decade old release, for that much money I expect more than just straight ports.
