about a group of superheroes, and it will be like a Games as a Service (GaaS) type thing.

Same, though. :(

You know I'm pretty sure Jason Schreier also straight out said that Starfield by Bethesda was bs and it wasn't happening and he knew nothing about it, so even though he has a good track record, he's not perfect.
Don't say this, because then I'm gonna start hoping again...... where did he say this?

I have literally never seen any person with enough fame to have a verified Twitter account say that they believe in a Rocksteady Superman game.
Not that they believed in it. Just that they wanted it/were excited by the idea.

He said this on twitter, I remember because I replied to his tweet of him saying Starfield didn't exist this E3 when it was actually revealed. But he deleted the tweet.

Just realized that we're getting a big Marvel GaaS game in the form of the Crystal Dynamics Avengers joint and a DC one developed by Rocksteady

Interesting times, never would have imagined this, especially considering that Marvel and DC haven't made the best transition into video games until recently with Spider-Man and the Arkham games respectively.

Weren't they rumored to be working on Ninja Turtles or something else weird back in the day?

Also, is Rocksteady owned by WB in whole, or does DC have a stake in them as well? Could be any number of Warner properties at this point, right?

Green Lantern would work fine as a game concept. Momo from My Hero Academia is basically the Green Lantern with a non-stupid power level and her abilities would be basically how a game version of the concept would go.

The characters are just pretty uninteresting.

The TMNT rumor was by the guy who said Kojima was making a game about a circumcision doctor who murders people, so I probably wouldn't put too much stock in that one.

WB owns DC and Rocksteady both, but Rocksteady said they were planning their game with DC.

Ughhhhhh GaaS.

I'm betting on Teen Titans/Young Justice but you can make your own hero.

I think Matrix lends itself well to games.

Hell yeah it does, the missed opportunities here are absolutely depressing. I'll never understand the hate this franchise got and how it vanished from the face of the Earth. It was a huge franchise and there was so much potential for more games and other media. Netflix anime series when ?

On topic, a Ninja Turtles game in the style of Arkham series could be really cool, with real time switching between the characters, fast wall climbing, parkour and huge jumps for awesome ninja traversal.

I read maybe 2 years ago that they're working on a "Batman of the Future" game with Damian Wayne (son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul and a complete brat that you've gotten to like at the end of Gran Morrison's Batman Inc run).
It did not sound like a rumor when I read it, but with nobody who's not big into comics knowing who Damian was, I later thought it was natural that people forgot that we already knew what Rocksteady was working on. Only found out last year that we didn't actually know this.

Still, a "Batman Inc." game (Schreier said "group of heroes", Batman Inc. is that... somewhat) or a time traveling Damian Wayne Batman game would make sense. I always wished for a positive, bright, peaceful and heartwarming Superman game from Rocksteady, which also would make sense since it would really show off that Rocksteady is capable of anything, first they make superhero games a thing, invent one-button combat that is completely awesome with a game that is telling a dark sad and angry story and after that with Superman they invent combat that you can't really fail (since Supes is basically invincible) actual fun to play and go from really dark and a bit filthy Gotham to sunny, full-of-hope Superman - so basically the opposite of their last project.

Really? Can you link me? Because I remember him saying it was real. Or at least replying to somebody who was claiming it was like another Fallout but he said it was something different.

Anyways, back on topic, this is probably a group of superheroes with a name that can help sell well. Legion doesn't have a good name/popularity so I'd cross them off the list. Suicide Squad would be a weird choice, seeing as how WB Montreal was also working on that, but I don't think we entirely rule them out. And Green Lantern Corps I think lends itself well to a game, I'm just not sure on his popularity compared to Teen Titans.

Yeah you're thinking of someone else - I just went back and listened to my E3 predictions and if you go to episode 132, timestamp 31:06, you can hear me talking about how Starfield is real and the other thing BGS is working on in addition to Fallout 76.

I don't remember this. You sure you're not thinking of someone else?
Nope, I'm 100% it was you because this involved Tidux, who said around E3 2017 that Starfield was real and then you said it wasn't and I used your tweet saying it wasn't real against Tidux. I also remember because you, who I really trust with these things was wrong, and Tidux, who I usually believe to be wrong, was right. Honestly, it was really funny. But also funny enough both of you guys deleted the tweets.

Yay another GaaS.....first we lost Bioware to this crap and now Rocksteady seem to be following too. I wish it didn't make them so much money lol. Oh well hopefully we still get a good single player story experience, if theres that as well as online them ill be happy, but if its just a superhero destiny/anthem then ughh.

It does. I'm certain Matrix will make a comeback, just as all things do. It'll happen in movies though before games, probably.

Ninja Turtles would be the best option for someone looking to use the Arkham formula. Sad Rocksteady debunked it.

My understanding is that Damian Wayne game was in development, but at Warner Bros. Montreal (the developers of Batman: Arkham Origins), and eventually cancelled or reworked into their current project. They had two projects going on at once - that and a Suicide Squad game.

I've bought every Rocksteady game, even the Wii U versions of the Batman games. GaaS puts a big question mark over whether I'm on board with this. I hope that guess is wrong or overblown.

I don't remember him saying this at all, I followed him extensively. He said Starfield was something different, not fake. In fact he wrote about Starfield.

Yep.

Jason's track record has been stellar from what I've seen. I trust him when he says that Rocksteady's game is a group of superheroes. Other insiders on here have inferred that as well, so it's right.

Question for jschreier though, do you think we see whatever it is at the Game Awards? I know Jonneh kind of inferred we would see something Rocksteady related there.
