GaaS isn't necessarily bad nor does it mean a multiplayer game. AC Odyssey is a GaaS and that just means they add small bits of new content every week.

It's probably Suicide Squad, but if I could pick any DC team I'd go with Doom Patrol!

That was Warner Bros Montreal.

Warner Montreal were making a Suicide Squad game and a Damian Wayne game before both got cancelled, though I believe the current rumor is that Warner Montreal is making a Bat Family co-op game.

How lame that they cancelled a new single-player Batman game. Would've been real cool to play Damian as Batman, he's a very distinct character from Bruce.

GaaS has certainly deflated any hype I had for the game, sigh. It will be balanced around microtransaction/lootboxes like Shadow of War if it is an action game, or it will be a Hero Shooter or Battle Royale game with DC characters which I would have 0 interest in.

If it ends up being a GAAS multiplayer make-your-own character thing, Legion or Green Lantern make a lot of sense since those groups are so huge

Having some sort of Green Lantern: War of Light game would be pretty good actually but I dont know if that plays into rocksteady's strengths

It's not just forum users.

The frenzy that happened on Twitter and all over social media is what prompted Rocksteady to do a response. I mean there were actual famous people excited for it who tweeted about it. It was trending at #1. I think that's enough to invest in a Superman game.

It was kind of hilarious, because they canceled Suicide Squad to focus on singleplayer games starting with Damian Wayne, and then 3-4 months later, canceled Damian Wayne to focus on games as a service online games.

You can tell how much the management transition caused massive thrashing at Warner Bros (both these decisions were the mostly new management IIRC).

I just finished rewatching the trilogy and Animatrix, rereading the comics, and replaying through Path of Neo (the burly brawl on emulator in 1080p is fucking awesome). And yeah, the Matrix saga is still the best thing ever.

If I'm not mistaken, the Matrix IP is at Monolith, who is owned by WB. So, hopefully they're done with LoTR and have moved back to that.
