I cringed at this part. The face was so bad and it wasnt scary one bit. Sorry.
No, want to go back to third person perspective, I liked that they tried to go back to horror, but I'd like them to go back to a more psychological horror rather than gory horror.
Action Resident Evil is unlike any other action third-person shooter. The whole "Just go play CoD or Gears." has always been utter nonsense.Over-the-shoulder fans already get RE2make so turn Revelations into an old school fixed camera angles RE. If people want an action game they can go play CoD, Gears or one of the other million shooters out there.

My point is calling action Resident Evil "Just CoD or Gears" is silly. That's like people calling RE7 Amnesia. But out of the six or so games with over the shoulder shooting, the shooting has only been remarkable in two of the games. I think at this point many are clamoring for something other than a shooting focus.
RE2 is thankfully doing just that, and the shooting is going for a different feel too.

The game was critically acclaimed. It made a ton of money. It brought alot of fans back, why are people still trying to argue the game wasn't a success? Because it clearly fucking was.
Resident Evil's whole point are the characters.
It's not horror or anything, hell I'll even say that Resident Evil was never scary to begin with.
But it always had great, funny and cheesy characters.
No need to be torn. You can have your cake and eat it by having it be 3rd person with VR support. Or just go the RDR2 route and have both 1st and 3rd person.i'm torn.
re7 in vr is a fantastic experience, but i love the classic third person camera.
it's probably more complicated than what you think to integrate perfect third person, first person and vr in a single game.No need to be torn. You can have your cake and eat it by having it be 3rd person with VR support. Or just go the RDR2 route and have both 1st and 3rd person.
This would work fine with VR. There are 3rd person over the shoulder VR games and fixed camera games and they can be great.
Oh right, you were talking about a change in perspective in gameplay and not as some menu option.I mean, games that changes perspective probably wouldn't be a good idea in VR, unless the transition is really slow?
Just assuming tho, maybe there's already some games doing that.

You could make it a neat mechanic by ghosting out of your own body and maybe after a few seconds your ghost form disappears. Obviously it would need to be built into the lore, and the ghost part is just an example.
