Yeah it's been radio silence for them here since that ended. Can't wait to grind the CD mons this weekend.
I was wondering about that guy. Is even available as a spawn now?
I spent the past few hours looking for more did not know they were this rare
Only got 25 and 8 candy respectively. Apparently at least Buizel can spawn in the wild but I've never seen one. Gonna take me a while to evolve them :(
Along with my incentive to actually raid, so that is stupid.
Really dumb move, especially when no one's doing legendary raids since it's winter and the raid boss is a fuckin' Cresselia.

All the fossils return, good for the people who missed them but this is such a boring raid list otherwise. Wailmer is the only useful one for me, still need about 250 candies there.

Very off for those raids to be gone... Not 1st time a raid exclusive (well, basically almost exclusive) to be gone, but that was during an event (1 of the many Kanto I think?). But during a non-event..

Shinx isn't raid exclusive though, you can get it through 10k eggs
Transferring something from Go to Let's Go is the easiest way.

Well yes, that is why I said "basically almost exclusive". Since a shinx shiny 10k hatch are a lot harder to get at then them everywhere in raids. :P
I transferred a Pokemon to Lets Go and got a box that lets me catch about 8 Meltan every 7 days, so it will take months to evolve one at that rate, is there more to it than that?
Rare candy makes sense, I've only ever had 3 rare candies and used them on Dratini.
My bad luck continues.

You can trade them for distance and you get 3 candies instead of 1 for transferring. If you catch 8 every time with Pinap, and trade every one for 3 candies, you could get enough in 5 weeks using just the boxes.
If you transfer ones traded from others you might be able to knock it down to 4 weeks.
The box spawns 10 Meltan. There are glitches though from what I've heard that might reduce that number sometimes
Should be 10, for 6 Candy each with a Pinap. That gives 60 Candy. Transferring all 10, gives you 10 extra Candy. This means we end up with 70 Candy each week, about 6 weeks to finish them off.
If you trade, you get candy based on the distance between the Pokémon's catch location. Can be up to 3 Candy. If you transfer them then, you'd be talking about 100 Candy per Mystery Box.
When you trade, try to trade for something that's caught in a different location than what you're trading. If it's far enough way, you'll get 3 candy for whatever you're trading.
By trade for distance do you mean set as your buddy and walk with it for candy? (Edit: Never mind answered already) I got 9 Meltan so I guess i missed out on one. I also didn't think to use Pinap berries, ugh..

I still hate that the Meltan is 20KM for one candy. That's absolute garbage. I understand its a "legendary" or Mythical or whatever it even is, but that's still super stupid.
I ended up doing mine on Sunday then realized I don't always go out on Sundays so I'm waiting for Thursday (my general out and about day/picking mom up from work in the evening) to do them. I think I got a total of 6 so far and I had no pinaps to use :-;
ugh, i hope they increase raids too. Now I'm gonna have that dumb 10 raids thing coming up next on the Meltan quest line which will be just peachy.

For anyone living in the LA area, what's the best place to go for Community Days in terms of spawns and clusters of Pokéstops?
Definitely not really interested in any of the current raids...especially since I finally got a shiny Mawile the other day.

There's no way I'd waste rare candy on Meltan. Just be patient. Spend the rare candy on the stuff that you don't actively have a chance to catch, like legendaries. You can always get the Mystery Box once a week and catch a few more Meltan.

I believe there's a stretch in North Hollywood around The Great Wall of Los Angeles that has tons of stops and gyms that's really popular.

I'm waiting as well. Waiting paid off last time when I was able to get the Stone minutes after it came out. Knowing Niantic, they could easily change it later today and, if not, just open the box tomorrow and hope, I guess.
I just got a notification talking about Kabuto and Omanyte being fossil Pokemon. That along with the focus on rock types in the raid battles makes me think we might be getting another Adventure Week or whatever it's called with the introduction of the gen 4 fossil Pokemon Rampardos and Shieldon
Yup, it's a new bug. They made the scrolling and loading smoother in the friends list but introduced this bug. One step forward, one step back. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
I hope they get it fixed soon because I have 150 friends and it really sucks scrolling all the way down every time.
Got an EX Raid invite for 10 AM on Thursday next week. I'm usually game for EX raids around my workplace, but this time I have a schedule conflict with actual work so this might be the first one I ever skip.
I have a huwai phone and it did not connect either. Had to download "go companion" in the app store to make it work.
