I'm surprised how many in this thread think this is a bad month. I thought this month was one of the better months :\
I haven't heard of Papers, Please before so I went to Playstation Store to read up about it and...

Did Sony pick this title for PS+ intentionally given the current situation at the border?
They picked it because it's a good game

That's too bad

I wanted to try it, but didn't think I'd like it so I never spent money on it, and the library didn't order it as they'd listed they were online. I'm someone who likes to play racing games in single player and offline, with regular type campaigns, and this looked to be quite different from that. But it still piqued my interest a little bit.
Yeah, my understanding is it is really well liked it just wasn't marketed AT ALL.

It's not really a standard racing game, it's more of a team based game set around cars that are racing around. It's definitely not a standard single player kind of arcade racer. I mean you can play single player with AI teams, but I think it's more of an Overwatch set up where you really need multiplayer.

The fact it was a new idea, in the racing genre, AND multiplayer focused made it an incredibly hard sell (let alone without the marketing). If they had maybe done this deal ALA rocket league maybe it would have caught on, but I doubt that was financially feasible.

Anyway, I've only heard good things so I'm excited to try it, hopefully with a good amount of people online.

SOMA is one of the best games this gen and it now has a mode that makes the monsters less aggro so the scaredy cats among yourselves can now enjoy it ;)

Happy with both of those, enjoyed Onrush demo but never made the full purchase for some reason and always wanted to try Soma.

Everybody dig out your PS3s and play the greatest visual novel of all time

Tbh, I still see this as a really awkward decision. Why didn't they release it for PS4 in 2015 instead of PS3? SteinsGate 0 is released on PS4. But knowing them, they won't offer the PS4 version anyway even it existed and it seems they stopped doing the cross-buy stuff for many games. -_-

Between iconoclasts and steins;gate this is a great month, and the other stuff is cool too. I own most of these, but I'm happy for others that don't.

How long until they drop PS3 and Vita again? Please be soon
You're really excited about going from going from up to 6 games with cross-buy to only 2 PS4 games? Because they were very clear when they announced this, they were just removing the PS3 and Vita games and not promising any additions. So yeah, going from 6 games to 2 games. Gonna be great.

Steins;Gate is great but the PS3 release is the worst version. I highly recommend playing it through Steam with the fan patch instead.

Wow, thanks for this. I tend to forget about checking PS Plus games more often than not. Gonna grab all of these.

Already have Papers Please on PC, but hey, free on Vita, why not.

If you don't have a ps3 or vita anymore, like most people, then you're already only getting 2 games per month. And usually 2 very sub par or mediocre games per month at that.

It actually has a pretty good SP campaign.

You keep unlocking new tracks, new weather, night races, and every event has these challenges like in Driveclub. There's also - again like in Driveclub - multi-race events.

Tried OnRush beta and gameplay was awful and not fun
Will give it a go but I expect nothing

I miss Motorstorm (especially Pacific Rift)

Papers, Please is very well done on the Vita with the touchscreen. Anyone who has a Vita and does not already have this game should give it a go, but fair warning, it will force you to make decisions you may not want to make and as a result may bring your mood down.

SOMA is a great horror game. OnRush was on Game Pass I think? Tried it but not my kind of game.

I will definitely check out Papers, Please though. Finally something new to play on my Vita.

It's been about 3 years since I've ever bothered to check what the PS3 or Vita game is so yeah I don't care in the slightest, I'm sure Sony have the stats for how many bother to download them.

Cross buy or not they aren't what I'm usually interested in

Would rather the budget go into making the PS4 offerings better but knowing Sony they won't do that either.

Not a huge racing fan, but MotorStorm Pacific Rift was my favorite. Will give OnRush a go.

Not when you can't play it on PS4 and the latter doesn't offer BC. :/

The feeling is mutual bro.

I really hope that in the 2 months left, they will offer all games to be played on PS4 until all become PS4 games. They offered a month this year (September) where all games were playable on PS4.

They'll very likely just pocket the savings they get from not having to secure PS3/Vita games and not change the value of the service at all. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they hike the price up again.

God, I wish we had last gen's PS+ still. This gen's iteration has been terrible almost non-stop.

I'm proud to say I own both Vita games being made available through plus next month. Purchased them on release, too. These titles are great and shouldn't be missed.
