The Megaten constumes are the bundle bonus for the digital only Vita versions
The 2 characters will be free for the first two weeks for Vita
You can't preorder the Vita versions so there's no bonus for that

PS4 gets the characters as a pre order bonus and P4DAN as a bundle bonus
Thanks, I've edited my post to refer to yours.

If nothing else, the characters not being flanderized sounds like a huge plus to me. I hope that carries over to future spinoffs, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
For P5D, I was fearing that was going to be the case from the first couple of Social event scenes characters have. They laid into Ann being a ditz, Futaba being a geek who spouts gamer gibberish whenever she can, Morgana being absolutely obsessed with Ann and himself, etc. But it definitely gets better as they go on.

Except for maybe Morgana. I felt they laid the haughtiness and love for Ann a bit thick the whole way through.

P3D's were so great, though. I can't harp enough about how important the actual time the game takes place in relative to Persona 3 is. P3D as a whole has an emotional undertone that P5D kinda lacks, which is represented through song titles like "Our Moment" and "Moonlight Serendipity."

Even the final song has a beautiful choreography that is made to evoke the struggles of the characters and final scenes of Persona 3 in a really cool way.

I'm actually pleased by the remove of the story fluff. Especially since these are two different games. Glad I jumped on the price error bandwagon since I need to drop another 60 or so to import the steelbook. Kinda salty they didn't bring that over as well, but oh well.
When you say steelbook are you referring to the box that the Japanese releases came in with the Soejima art of Aigis and the two protagonists? Because for whatever it's worth that was just a cardboard box.
Oh damn. Which songs are these? I know two of them are the main themes and the music videos. Are the credits themes in the base game? I know they don't have dances either.
It's the main theme of each game (also worth noting that these are just the actual in game version so they're only like a minute long), the credit themes, the credits for P5/P3 and then brand new days in P3D and a Last Surprise remix.

There's also concert footage songs in both, Laser Beam in P3D which doesn't have a version with choreography and Rivers in the Desert in P5D which does have a separate version with choreography.

My son (4 years old) knows all the tracks of persona 5, he watched me play it and he fell in love with characters and music, the tracks are always palying on my phone and in the car, he will lose his shit when i show him P5DSN.

His favorite tracks: blooming villain, will power, rivers in the desert, life will change.

But 60$ is too steep for music game, i will wait a little, does it have a 2 player mode?

Some highlights from "the bad" section:

Yeah, I'll wait to get a complete version of the game(s) on sale.

Complete as in DLC included?

Because no such version exists for the years old P4DAN and I don't recall ever seeing the DLC go on sale either
Even the P4DAN included in the PS4 bundle doesn't come with any of the DLC

Deep physical price drops might not take too long
Digital, maybe

There will probably never be a complete version. Atlus is being scumbags with this DLC.

Edit: I'm watching some gameplay videos and was Vic Mignogna sick during recording? Junpei sounds so bad.

I am sort of starting to fear that Morgana is going to turn into another Teddie where since he got all his character development out of the way in the main game, he just got delegated to a onenote mascot character. Really hoping this doesn't turn out to be the case because I feel like Morgana went through a lot more than Teddie did in their respective games.

The more I see of both games, the more you can tell that P3D was already being worked on and then they just decided to might as well make a P5D; this isn't even a thought, this is what actually happened apparently, both versions started development in 2015, which is hilarious since the actual Persona 5 would have been a year away. I think the fact that they developed P5D under these circumstances is why there a lot less impactful moments in it: the team working on P3D had the main game, two re-releases, a spin off, an 11 volume manga, and four films to work with to characterize their game, the P5D literally had nothing.

Honestly why I feel like I haven't been as much of a fan of either this or the anime, both seem like they are just trying to cash in on hype rather than make a heartfelt product.

If I didn't have a deal I would wait. But getting persona 3-5 Dancing games for the price I have is a good deal and not likely to get much cheaper looking at how the Digital Version of P4 on Vita always kept a higher price than the actual game itself.

Dear god, that is awful... and it's not even like they took it and accidentally ruined it by making it more dance/rhythm game appropriate... as a slightly-more-than-casual rhythm game player, I just don't see losing myself in that version.

So it's not that bad then. Might pick up on a sale sometime later down the line. Not really interested in P3D.

Hopefully the free DLC makes it over. Helps with the smaller track list.

I had it preordered thanks to the Amazon price mistake, but probably not planning on picking it up again. Don't need more than the JP versions.

Glad I got the price mistake at Amazon, $60 for P3, P4, and P5 dance games seems appropriate for the content present.

It'd be a brilliant package if P3D and P5D were included as one (which they even said they were considering to do, but decided against to "emphasize each game's individuality"). As two separate full priced titles, it's a lot.

Have not seen any mentions of VR yet in reviews.

Do you have any questions? You can use PSVR as basically a character model viewer, or to walk around the bedrooms of the characters in their rank 6, 7, and 8 social links. The VR is well done in that it doesn't make me motion sick like some does, but the scenes are so isolated that it feels like you're constantly taking the headset on and off. I used it once per room at the end, personally. Walking around uses left analog stick and it's a smooth gliding movement, which sounds worse than it is in practice FWIW.

I also got the chance to play the Vita versions. Don't.

These should have been bundled together and sold as one full priced game. There isn't two games worth of content here, even at slightly below retail price. I'll wait for a sale.

There's 27 songs in the base P4D and 25 songs each in P3/5D. There's a couple of tracks in P3/5D that are just basically FMV's but there are a couple of unique group dances as well.
I agree about the story mode in P4D being a slog as well. I think the social scenes in P3/5D should be better as they focus on the main cast.

23 songs in P3D/P5D wihout any DLC.

P3D is more "unbalanced" as there's only 7 tracks from the original game while P5D has 11. Each game has the new intro and a Live song. Everything else are remixes.

My biggest issue with both is the gameplay. Too much visual polution and it's difficult to know which rhythms the beatmaps want you to follow. I also had other smaller issues with the grade system, how you can get a sucess in a song and pontuation. Those issues are more easily noticeable in the all-night difficulty.

I truly hope Atlus doesn't quit from making rhythm games, but they really need to make the gameplay better.

I suck at rhythm games, and usually dislike "dance" style remixes, but is it wrong I want this just because I want to see the P3 crew and locations in HD?

Oh yeah, DLC practices too, I guess I can wait for a deep discount sale.

Nah, not really. Dancing All Night was a far better package overall, content-wise. 3's okay due to track variety, but 5 feels really lacking.

MVs are also a step down from DAN, there's a lot less going on visually. The camera's less dynamic, backgrounds are mostly static, and don't switch like they did in P4D. Maybe to help people focus more on the gameplay, but there's a distinct lack of energy now.

For comparison:

3+5 do have those prerendered group MV's, but each game only has two.

Going off of this, I will at least say the choreography is better in the P5 dancing game.

Surprised to see this reviewing so well. It's content light and the gameplay itself is hardly improved plus a total lack of story content

There's definitely 25 songs in P3D/P5D without DLC. Two are unlockable.

I'd say it's the best part about P3D. It's awesome seeing these characters interact again with the great models, plus the environments.
Can I safely delete these demos? There's no bonus for the full game is there?
Nope.

You know I see people give this remix shit a lot but I quite enjoyed it in the demo.

Also lol at all the comments asking for Joker in Smash. Man I'd love that.

I don't see the problem at all. It's a fantastic remix imo. Not as if that's only version of the song in the game. There's the original and two remixes, so if you don't like that rendition just play the original.

Oof, that sounds awful, and looks like it plays just as bad. I loved 4DAN, but this was very off-putting. I will check out the demo for a hands-on impression. Kinda glad I cancelled my pre-order tbh.

Is there a physical bundle for Vita? Not really into rhythm games on console.
Yeah no story, but there is a social mode that are basically like fully voiced social links for each of the characters.
Oh, that's pretty much all I needed anyway. Persona stories are bunk but I like the character interactions.

Only if you import the non-English JP version. It is quite nice though, coming with the 4 disc soundtrack, and I'm glad I went for it.

I've played a good bit of them and the main issue I have is that the package isn't as good as P4 DAN since there's no campaign mode to it. The story is basically that they're in a dream and they'll forget everything that happens, so they cut loose for a night and the social links expand on that a bit. If these were bundled as a trilogy with the P3/P5 games having more of a campaign for $60, it would be an easy recommendation. As it is, it's up to how much you want some quick fan service.

What's wrong with the vita versions? I love P3 so I was looking forward to grabbing it eventually, but I have a hard time playing it on a large screen :(
In my experience, there is nothing wrong with the Vita versions. Feels just like P4D, and is easier to play than on a large screen.
