We're still expecting one? This is make or break week for a couple people. No Direct this week will add more people to the list that I can't listen to really anymore.
I had completely forgot lol

Minus the new 2D Zelda this is inline with what they showed last year lolhe's not saying anything new, we know all of this.
The Game Awards aren't Nintendo's E3 Briefing.
They're not announcing Smash DLC details the week it comes out or this year in general.Hah I'd say something Metroid related and some Smash DLC info is a good baseline.
2014:To be fair, both in 2014 and 2017 Nintendo brought multiple announcements to TGA.
2014:
-SMB3 + SMW palettes for Super Mario Maker
-Multiplayer in Code Name STEAM
-First footage of BOTW
2017:
-BOTW: The Champions Ballad contents revealed + shadow drop
-Bayonetta 1+2 port
-Bayonetta 3 teaser
"expectations low"
Lists Metroid Prime 4 and MPT HD as "baseline" low expectation
Can this dude hint enough hmm. SpawnWave and all these dudes hang out with each other and that includes our own Nate Drake. When Nate isn't out in the jungle fighting crime he takes time to do Nintendo podcasts.
I liked when Reggie said "of course there's more". I want him to say something like that again. "Look at me mother fker. Look at me. I'm mother fking Reggie. I didn't fly out here in my helicopter for free food. Someone in the back spin dat shit!"
Well there's an update from our friends about that 2nd Direct coming soon. Heh
So, 24 hours until the second direct saga is over and we finally know if anything will happen, huh?
Yes but they did leak the last couple of directs dates. The claimed this was the same source.Didn't they also say an N64 Classic was being revealed and Incineroar wasn't in Smash?
I'm not aware of their track record but it's worth noting the delayed Direct and the rescheduled one were widely known by media because of a slip upYes but they did leak the last couple of directs dates. The claimed this was the same source.
They also correctly predicted the Smash direct (but they said they might reveal the N64 classic right after). So they have some legit stuff but have probably been misled this month. Something weird must have happened since our lord and savior King Zell was wrong too on that one.I'm not aware of their track record but it's worth noting the delayed Direct and the rescheduled one were widely known by media because of a slip up
I think they're kind of hit or miss. King Zell also said his source said the N64 Mini would be announce and come next month. They definitely got bad info this time it appears.I'm not aware of their track record but it's worth noting the delayed Direct and the rescheduled one were widely known by media because of a slip up
Instead of a direct they are better off with multiple announcements at game awards.
Yeah that's the difference between now and when Nintendo used to do November Directs. The Game Awards are more prominent and have so many eyes on them. If you have some big announcements then it's better to skip a November Direct and save it for the Game Awards.Instead of a direct they are better off with multiple announcements at game awards.
The one thing about the game awards is that it's mostly for the American audience. It seems odd to tease a Zelda SS at a Japanese concert and announce it on something most Japanese won't watch.
I don't see Skyward Sword being announced at the Game Awards. The Game Awards will be Metroid and maybe something Smash related. The one thing about the game awards is that it's mostly for the American audience. It seems odd to tease a Zelda SS at a Japanese concert and announce it on something most Japanese won't watch.
I think they have a pretty good formula for General Directs and events. January direct then March/April Direct. E3 in June. August/September Direct and Game Awards in December. Sprinkle in game specific Directs in between. They'd be better off conserving their announcements for a bigger January direct instead of spreading themselves too thin with reveals. Have a more potent and effective direct to kick off 2019 right
Personally I can't see a Mini system launching until Summer so it would be a little odd to announce it nowI think they're kind of hit or miss. King Zell also said his source said the N64 Mini would be announce and come next month. They definitely got bad info this time it appears.
Agreed, there's stuff at The Game Awards for sure but I don't think it's time for a DirectWhat did I miss? A rumored November Direct?
I don't see this happening, and would think a World Premiere announcement is sufficient enough to wrap up 2018.
You think we could get a few Nintendo announcements at the Game Awards? Kind of like last year we got 3 announcements, essentially.Agreed, there's stuff at The Game Awards for sure but I don't think it's time for a Direct
Possibly! You think we could get a few Nintendo announcements at the Game Awards? Kind of like last year we got 3 announcements, essentially.
I am but a poor man. I don't ask for much but only Metroid Prime 4, Metroid Prime Trilogy HD and Mother 4.
I'm not sure what you're saying. Why can't we see more 3rd party AAA titles, like Daemon x Machina, The Legendary Starfy, Resident Evil 10, Monster Hunter 5 Generations, and Town?
Where can I put my /dream at?
If they don't show prime 4 I don't wanna be on the internet for a few months. Fan overhype post apocalypse is insufferable. That ship is going full steam now. Anything less than an MP4 trailer and I'll burn my variety kit.
If you look at the calendar and then do the math, yea ...when the month is over and there was no Direct we will 99% for sure know if there is a Direct this month :)So, 24 hours until the second direct saga is over and we finally know if anything will happen, huh?
Impatient fans who think literally everything is a hint.Who said that a Skyward Sword announcement is imminent though? Even if we assume Aonuma was indeed hinting at a remaster it doesn't mean it's going to be announced any time soon. It could be announced in January or even later.
I really hope we see some gameplay of Metroid Prime 4. At the minimum we get a cinematic showing Samus and some of the world to give us an idea of the game. Gameplay would be lovely though.
