I really need to start just waiting like a week before I buy games. It's not like I don't have anything to play in the meantime!

Have you played Yakuza 0? It's not just AAA, but AAAA title because it's Awesome AAA. But yeah, Odyssey is a safe bet if you need some AAA junk to mix it with indies, also I'll vouch for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, it's a decent game too.

I never played Yakuza games before and Y0 is currently my GOTY 2018, so yes.

Jump in man. 0 was my first one and I had a blast and really enjoyed the story.
Jumped in blind on Yakuza 0, you guys convinced me. Let's see if it's indeed a japanese masterpiece like folks use to say.

what's the name of that game where the story is told entirely through the player packing? it's 4-5 scenes implicitly showing a bank heist. it's very minimalist but super interesting narratively, and I can't remember what it's called. might be a game jam game, honestly.

In the current state, I wouldn't play Fallout 76 even if it's F2P. Also, F2P will only make it worse with a huge influx of new players. Their poor servers won't be able to handle it.

I wouldn't play 76 if I was paid to. Like Jeff from giant bomb my review is: Don't play this piece of shit game.

At long last I finally put in for a refund from Steam. The winner was Star Traders: Frontiers. It was just too overwhelming. Maybe I'll give it another shot somewhere down the line but I have so many other things to play right now.

It is a game jam game, I can't find it at the moment. It was a collaboration between two notable devs, something like Brendan Chung and somebody else, or Derek Yu and somebody else.

Tried to start south park fractured but whole but nope I had to update uplay first. Ok whatever it's been a while since I used it so no big deal it'll go fast and I can play. Oh but nope now I have to go through 2 step verification, which I don't even remember setting up for uplay but fiiiiine at least I can play after those two minor annoyances. NOPE now it can't connect to ubisoft servers and offline mode is not working for whatever reason. I'm guessing because it's the first time I'm trying to play the game so it needs to be activated online before it works in offline mode. I can see in offline mode the game is not yet showing in my library.

I'm fucking blown away by the level of competition on display here.

Subnautica is pretty but it usually hitches when I surface out of the water but is very smooth otherwise. I need to look into that.

Agents of Mayhem isn't too bad so far. We'll see if it ends up forcing me to do side content to progress pass just taking over strongholds. Which is typically my big complaint with open-world design these days.

Agents of Mayhem is alright. Not perfect, but it is an okay game to play through once if you have free time and got it cheap. Also, it has Ansel support, which means it can't be completely terrible:

78F559D2B9CD37805772587C0AB8564D7B10AD98

I think I said before Agents of Mayhem I really liked. It was clear Volition had grander plans but lots was cut. I think my buddy who does UI is still there but they ended up having layoffs post launch sadly.

It had some performance issues but I'm replaying on PC after beating it on console and as you all know I rarely finish games for various reasons lol.

I had the opposite situation with uplay. When I got my new laptop I went at least a month with no other clients but steam and I was dreading installing other clients. Uplay was completely painless, I was shocked it remembered me, I somehow had friends integrated lol. Game I needed to launch worked fine. I was pretty shocked at how smooth it was and I had not logged in on my laptop ever and not on my older laptop in a few months.

So if you broke it you better fix it.
I wanted to get my assasins creed origins game set up later tonight!

I jumped on those BF/Cyber Monday deals at Amazon and scooped up an upgrade to my 970 (a 1070 for $300) and a nice 1 TB SSD to replace the tiny 250GB one I've been using as my main drive for awhile now.

The only question now is how should I go about cloning my main drive over to the new one? Does windows have a utiliy for that? I feel like it does and I haven't had to mess with it in so long,I've forgotten.

I do remember installing on an SSD from nothing was a pain. Hopefully I don't have to start over. Pretty sure that isn't necessary.

I don't know if this was brought up but under my VIP deals on GMG I'm seeing shadow of the tomb raider with all DLC (croft edition) for $38 which is a stupid good deal considering the base game is on sale for $30 everywhere right now including on console. They also have Nier for $25 and DQXI for $35, both of which I think are new low prices for the PC versions.

You sont need to set up 2 step on uplay.

I really don't remember setting it up to begin with so next time I can get on I'm probably going to take it out.

I haven't used uplay on PC in months so I have no clue what happened! To be fair this is the first big problem I've had with the service in a few years but when it does happen it just reminds me of how pointless this all is and could have been avoided if they just used Steam. I should mention I bought the game on Steam so this extra layer of DRM is more frustrating.

Stop posting new deals! I thought I had survived the sales! I feel like Tomb Raider complete will get to 25 soon enough. I've also seen the complete edition quietly getting cheaper off steam.

Yeah I buy Ubisoft on steam as well. Don't mind uplay as I rarely see it. Ironically I interact with it more on console to redeem their free silly outfits and weapons I then never use lol.

Origin bothers me more than uplay now because their UI organization is a mess now and the over advertising of access makes it a pain to even purchase things , on top of it never remembering my login. But amazon beat origin and I got madden on pc finally so I guess I'll be getting familiar with that client.

Amazon also beat psn digital prices on things. Best Buy had a great sale for consoles too, still shocked hitman 2 dropped so fast and dragon quest got a great discount on PS4.

Now I still have to install the blizzard client which I am also dreading.

Got Tokyo Xanadu ex+. Other than that, I also purchased two copies of Hitman 2016 for two of my friends as early Christmas gifts.

Now that Black Friday is done, I am going to focus on preparing for Japanese exam in early December.

Edit: Oh! Voice actress of the female protagonist is also the one voicing Zelda. That is a nice surprise.

Sooooo for some reason SE raised the price of the Croft Edition on Steam only because they also have it for 56% off but the base price is $110. It's supposed to be $90 which it is on GMG and on console stores and retailer sites. Gabe must have pissed them off.

Yeah console digital sales at retailers have been strangely good this year which I don't get, because retailers aren't supposed to get a cut of those sales. Unless something changed.

As for Origin and battlenet I don't even have those installed on my PC anymore. They're completely useless to me :P

You know what client still doesn't have bandwidth throttling options in 2018? The Epic Launcher. How do you have one of the most popular games in the world--with frequent multi gig updates--and not have any bandwidth shaping options? Maybe I'd rather not saturate my household connection when I download a 100gb of modding tools either, Epic.

HOT DAMN, DQ XI for $35 is basically stealing. That's like $0.35/hour for a game that honestly you don't actually need to play for 100 hours, but its rad if you want to.

Say what you want about the humble bundle game bundles, but they've been killing it with the programming/IT/electronics bundles. I've bought every single one of them except for the DevOps bundle. I don't know how I missed this website before. These bundles are incredible.

So the only issue you have is you can't connect to Ubi servers (which happens on Steam too)?
What's wrong about updates for clients? Or 2-Step-Verification? Those seem like good things to me but you used them as examples why it's such a hassle to use other clients besides Steam and why all competition is apparrently incompetent.

To be honest, I don't really care about butts. And I don't mind seeing my friends' pictures. But I don't want to see spoilers, memes, and racists directly on my game pages from the Steam "community".
Okay, joking aside, that's a valid point, I've seen many times screenshots with pretty nasty story spoilers without spoiler tags or even shitty memes and fake pictures that were uploaded as screenshots instead of artworks for whatever reasons. Since there are no strict rules for community stuff like "you can't post spoilers" or "you can't upload cosplay photos as screenshots from the game", showing screenshots directly in users library might cause a lot of problems, I agree.

Speaking of two-step verification: Enable two-step verification, people!

Steam uses the Steam mobile app, PSN uses SMS, many others (Ubisoft, EA, Microsoft, Amazon, Dropbox ...) use Google Authenticator. I recommend Authy for the latter group, which is available on both desktop (Win, macOS, Chrome browser) and mobile devices and syncs across all your devices. It's a bit of a chore to set it all up but with the all-digital utopia we live in now it's seriously worth it.
