Man survives tandem hang gliding incident without being clipped in.

You will summon the strength of the gods if you think you're going to die, adrenaline is a hell of a thing.
Ain't that the truth. When I was about 12 I was on a roof and slipped off, I was able to hold on to the edge of the roof and move myself over just hanging with my hands about 10 feet to a porch. I was a heavy kid, I couldn't do a pull up if I tried but I had arm strength of the gods at that moment.
The thrill of danger and persevering in face of it is both exhilarating and empowering.

Sometimes I think I'd like to sky dive someday despite heights making me a bit queasy but then I see shit like this and I'm like man a huge fall would be a sucky way to die.
He lets go near the trees there's always a chance he's going too fast and smashes into them, gets impaled, bounces off and takes a 20+ foot drop, etc.
From the trees to that open area wasn't that long of a flight (I'm sure for the guy hanging it was an eternity + the view alone would probably kill the weaker-hearted) but at least there if he gets close enough to the ground he's much more likely suffer a few broken bones/get some nasty abrasion or cuts than outright die haha.
