Bronson is going to mock us all when he is the only person predicting Cats to out-gross Star Wars, Lion King, and Avengers next year and it goes goes on to gross 2.5 billion worldwide.
The only person? I am early on the Cats train, just sayin'.

(so what if I made that thread just to shitpost Taylor Swift gifs? That's clearly not what is important here)

I MUST GOOSE THE NUMBER-

wait, Mamma Mia made how much
Never doubt the life saving power of Swedish disco music.
edit:
I mean I'm going to mock you all anyways because anytime I champion a movie it overperforms

Greatest Showman
Orient Express
etc
etc
etc
etc
That Anne Hathaway monster movie movie that featured the most terrifying monster of all time + a cute kaiju?

Kind of shocked that Venom comes to blu ray Dec. 19, wonder if it will still be playing in dollar theaters?

The word on the film was awful.

But...,

Wait a minute...,

Hang on now......,

Greatest Showman had awful buzz and numerous production problems but was an unexpected, huge hit.

Venom had awful buzz and numerous production problems but was an unexpected, huge hit.

What do they have in common?

Michelle Williams.

I would support this, she's a damn delight in everything she's in. And the best part is that if she gets injured or wants to get out they can just swap in Adelaide Clemens and no one will notice.

Agreed. Such a talented actress being marginalised to the long suffering girlfriend role in Venom was a total travesty.

Parents saw Overlord Saturday and they enjoyed it.

The success of that film partially created headaches for Warner Bros.' live action Jungle Book film Mowgli from director Andy Serkis, which was delayed greatly after being in production from March 2015 to Oct. 2017. Alfonso Cuaron was called in to to rescue the movie, and Warners wisely decided to forgo any negative box office press on the film by jettisoning the movie to Netflix for a streaming release

First I've heard of Cuaron being asked to lend a hand. WB must love him.

Bumblebee is destined to get a 90%+ on RottenTomatoes and absolutely bomb like a mfer. C'est la vie.

They already have plans to reboot the Transformers movies. Bumblebee is in a weird place where it might be a prequel or initially was intended as such before changing. Either way, unless it's a huge success, I don't think it'll get a follow up. And with Knight in talks for GOTG3, doesn't seem like he's hitching on doing another one.

I thought they released a Robin Hood last year with Charlie Hunam and Jamie fox. Apparently it was King Arthur with Djimon Hounsou. >.>

If Cat$$$ needs any help whatsoever being successful, I will personally carry it to the top of its goal with all the money bucks cash dollars I have left out of sheer spite to the world

The best thing about Venom making all that money is that Sony is going to open the floodgates of raw sewage. It's going to be hard to maintain this MCU-conspiracy when you have to cape for Morbius, Agent Aunt May, Rhino: Origins, Kangaroo, etc.

Ages ago. I imagine Sony probably wishes otherwise given the theatrical legs, but it's probably considered non-negotiable to get it out pre-Christmas.

I...wonder if Sony may have stumbled into something with that BluRay release. Its kind of a perfect last minute gift/stocking stuffer for people. And with it coming off hot from the theater it has momentum.

Damn, The Spider's Web dropped hard. Actually enjoyed it quite a bit and would have liked to see this cast return for more.

Also, what is this narrative that Venom actually deserves the success? It was garbage. It's on the same level with 2000s superhero films like Daredevil, Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider.

I'm still confused about if that's a fake muscle suit or David Harbour's real body. If real, Hopper got beefed up.

The next couple of weeks really suck for movie releases, huh? Are the major releases over the next 2 weeks really just The Posession of Hannah Grace and a Schindler's List re-release?

Shame Mortal Engines will not get any sequels, the summaries sound like the books get super interesting

I really want a Real Steel sequel, Jackman bombed enough to consider one yet?

I found out that Real Steel is based off an old short story that was adapted into a Twilight Zone episode and wasn't just the confused musings of a rich man-child banging his toys together and that just blew my mind.

But did that episode have a hot track from Timbaland?
