Yeah but does that really make the encounter any easier?

IMO if you get it cool but if not then it's not at all worth grinding for... that kind of thing is not gonna prevent a wipe or make your run any smoother either.

Being able to chain supers is important in a timed DPS check. If you're at, or under, the PL of the raid the armor you get for being in super is incredibly noticable. Feeding orbs to your teammates is also very important. Depending on their setup, getting orbs isn't just about getting to a super -- they can start regenning health, lessen some/ALL of their ability cooldowns.

The impact this perk has shouldn't be downplayed. A super in 30~ seconds is huge. Regaining health on orb pick up can save a token. Having a healing grenade back that much quicker can absolutely save a player.

Don't sleep on the perk, man.

consider how this looks in Gambit.

I don't know about things being worth "grinding" for, but you should certainly be checking your gear every time you get something in the Dreaming City or Raid for enhanced gear. If you're doing your weekly bounty stuff in the dreaming city and raiding, you should have a bunch of this gear to sift through. From the sounds of things, you've probably thrown away a good number of enhanced gear.

Do I need to do anything special to get Militias Birthright besides completing the Nightfall?
Yes, go do a 100k score Nightfall clear. Equip your Nightfall emblem when you do. You get higher drop chances.

If you can, go do a 200k+ nightfall clear. Maximum drop chances. And the more people in your party doing the speed runs with 100k+ NF emblems on, the better. Best drop chances/multipler setup is with 4x people who all have 200K or better emblems equipped. Put on Genadier or Heavyweight + whatever singe and speed run it.

I personally would recommend keeping any with proximity grenades, implosion rounds, or spike grenades, then with Ambitious Assassin + Auto-Loading holster. I have several, but my Birthright with Prox + Ambitious Assassin + Auto-Loading has about 550 Crucible kills on it. I keep going back to it because Ambitious Assassin gives you 2 rounds in the mag if you get a kill then reload. Next engage is basically a guaranteed kill.

Also decent in my experience: Graverobber, Threat Detector, Rangefinder. Quickdraw is cool if you can't get an Ambitious Assassin roll.

I personally don't get much out of Rangefinder as I don't ADS with these GL's ever, but others do.

Did a solo lake of shadows, after doing a 75k run and a 100k run. ( I was wearing the 100k emblem although personally I believe the bonus score is only supposed to help on the run you earn it.)

Got militia's birthright with proximity grenades, grave robber, and rangefinder.

Might work...

Ikelos and Mindbenders are the best energyslot shottys.
Already got the Ikelos, but don't really like it in pvp. Will try to get the Mindbender's one. I read it was a Nightfall only drop?

Also managed to get a Phoenix Protocol drop! :D Gonna unlock the subclass tree with the next reset to enjoy using the exotic.

When I was farming for Mindbender's Ambition, there were three of us. One had a highscore with emblem, and the other two didn't. We were getting drops more frequently than the person who did the high score run. Couple that with the fact that Bungie made it so your chances go up each time you don't get the weapon and it seems like high score is a waste of time.

I gots me a Militias Birthright!! It took me about 10 runs (never did a 100k run). The gun has Linear Compensator, Spike Grenades, and Snapshot! But it also has Genesis...

Not a bad roll I guess, but I'm just happy to have one!

I tried the triple grenade launcher loadout in crucible: militia, FL, original play of the game. It's pretty ridiculous.

There is a quantifiable benefit to high score which is that it earns more Vanguard tokens every run. Whether that matters of course depends on how many tokens you already have...

I think the score only affects drops on the run in which it is earned and bungie just said it in an ambiguous way a long time ago confusing people. If the score does successfully modify the drop chance of the weapon I believe it would use the same system as the emblem drops, which bungie said are tied to the score earned in the specific run.

Edit: to correct the above I looked again and I see bungie said more recently that the method of overall high score is supposedly how it works. So perhaps the chance is not that different and isn't really noticeable as you say https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyThe...tfall_specific_loot_farming_having_a_highest/

I never believe hitting 100k score will increase the chance. I gotten NF weapons on a low score without hitting 100k before as early as less than 10 runs with 2 NF weapons dropping at the same time. It's RNG.

Yep.

got that Braytech Osprey Rocket Launcher from that Mission with Nokris and every run we just went straight for him and burned him down.

Both of these are completely compatible with RNG and also with bungie's public statements that higher score increases the drop chance.

Supposedly having a 100k NF or a little more 200k NF will increase your drop rate of NF exclusive loot at the end of the strike.

Seriously whats with the Queen Breakers ridiculous aim assist? Every Invader I came across have perfect headshot accuracy, no matter If I jump or slide to engage the invader its always a Headshot.

Amazing they nerf sleepers aim assist but not Queens breaker.

Lol, the Queenbreakers problem is so mind-boggling. It had zero issue before, but for whatever reason they were like "buff linear fusion aim assist"

LMAO

Crucible is so fuckin boring right now. I cant even muster the interest to finish these weeklies. Season 5 needs a good shakeup. New meta please.

So... Trust with Drop Mag, Explosive Payload and Dragonfly. Sounds good, felt good on a couple of Gambit matches... What do you guys think?

I wonder...with bungie specifically saying MountionTop is a direct 1 hit kill when the Militia's Birthright already can 1 shot opponents...I wonder if it means the MountainTop blast radius is gonna be super small like Concussion/Blinding nades.

Yeah it's a nightfall drop, but the boss can literally be grinded by killing yourself as soon as the chest opens to rinse and repeat until it drops. We played it last time for about an hour and i got 5 of them, one being the masterworked version.
Ikelos is a beast in the crucible though, both are really good :D

Probably because it has unlimited range in a straight line. Would be super OP if it had same blast radius as MB.

If thats the case, I don't think its that bad at all. Getting a direct hit with a projectile nade is already difficult but rewarding so I assume Bungie created a weapon in the same vein as Luna/NF where it takes skill to use the weapon to reap the rewards.

But I guess people will continue to bitch about how OP PvP pinnacle weapons will be. First Luna/NF, now MountainTop.

Oh. OH. OH.

I get your choices much more, now.

If you ever get to raid, I think you'll appreciate the Keep of Voices, Shell of What Was, and Watchtower much more.

I can't say I'd remember any of the raid tunes, since it's all drowned by a constant chatter, and there's no time to stop and listen (or view the surroundings) when the others are rushing towards the next step. It's one of the reasons for why I don't really enjoy playing them.

EP schedule until March 2019 along with tips and tons of info about EP https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyThe...lation_protocol_weapon_drop_schedule_updated/

tl;dr this week (With reset on 27th) also has all 3 weapons.

That would unfortunately lead to a pointless nerf on the PVE side as well, just like it was with Truth back in the day.
I can see them nerfing it though, it's too good. What's the point of using any other exotic/heavy when Thunderlord can melt bosses this quickly? It's probably more viable than Whisper, since that thing is kinda hard to use consistently.

I run with Malfeasance in Gambit so Tlord is not viable. And even if I could swap out for heavy exotic it is usually Queenbreaker. Tlord will have to do lot more than it currently does to make me drop QB for it.

If it goes similarly to Truth, there will be no reason to use it after the nerf. A toothless gun is much worse than an overpowered one. What I love about Let It Die, which is also a loot-based game and features asynchronous PVP, is that weapons are never nerfed there, eventhough some of them are so powerful (and cost effective) with the right kind of Skill Decal and armor setup that most players use them. It's fun and satisfying to feel powerful and be able to melt the enemies, when you've gone through all the trouble of getting a weapon and upgrading it.

Got Malfeasance this weekend and reset Infamy 2nd time just in time before the end of season.
had the Sparrow drop and I think I know how it happened, I killed my 2nd Spaghetti Meatball monster with the same character who are already killed a Meatball, Sparrow dropped.

nah, Thunderlod runs out of ammo really quickly and gets empty within seconds.

with that ammo limitation, it doesn't need a nerf.

IMO, nerf Hand Cannons.

I played against a guy with Militia's Birthright + Lunas Howl last night. I think you're going to see a lot of variation on that going forward, it's really tough to beat.

I'm tempted to take a bit of a crucible vacation and just chase that cursebreaker title for a while.

Yep, no one ever chases a "balanced" weapon. And arguably, when D2 was most "balanced," the crucible nearly died and Trials was taken out back. Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest shooter on consoles and it was just nonstop craziness. Bungie has finally learned that having strong weapons is a lot more satisfying than having balanced ones.

That said, fusion rifles need a buff.

Have you played more than once? On your first time through, yeah, you don't have time to really pay attention to anything. But as you grow familiar with the raid, the soundtrack makes its presence more and more apparent. And it is loud and bombastic, especially during the beginning or transitory parts of encounters, when there isn't necessarily a lot of shotcalling being made. More experience amongst raiders, less chatter needs to happen cause everyone knows what to do.

Redrix GET. Put the Reese's Pieces shader on it, along with Minor Spec. Now it's just a matter of getting those rolls Sheikh and Aztecross have.
