I don't think I said anything to contradict that. In fact, I say something like "English has been borrowing Latin words since inception." In the very post you quoted.
I've heard it used in real life and podcasts and pronounced as "Latin-ecks". Mostly in more "woke" contexts. It's an attempt to get away from gendered words.
Exactly that's what I'm contradicting. I'm not saying it was borrowed but based on from it's inception since before the modern English tongue. Hence why I talked about the Romans.
More specifically, English is mostly German and French (Norman Conquest) with a large side of Latin (Roman invasion and general proliferation of Latin) if I recall my linguistics education correctly.

I don't think it is, because there's been some minorities on resetera who have said that their families are racist against other minority groups before, in threads dealing with those topics.
Seems like most of the recent recorded encounters that have had threads are white women though.
So are you saying the media is victimizing racist white people? Because last I checked racism is perpetuated by a "particular race of people" in this country before the media even played a part in spreading it.

Nah, racism by white people is much more destructive and prevalent, partly because they are the most powerful group. That's obviously true.
Doesn't mean there aren't exceptions, though, which I think he was talking about. Recently got blindsided by a coworkers racism against a different minority. Laughed while defending cops doing some profiling shit despite the victim describing the robber as "white, seemingly Eastern European from the accent".
Edit: I think that it's always white people because white racists are not only the vast majority, they also seem to always think they can get away with that shit. No idea if that's a factor, of course, but it's mind-boggling how these people never seem to understand how unacceptable their behaviour is

Exactly. Its taught within homes. If black people were in power in the US and had the numbers, or chinese people, or indian people...would racism look different in the US? Look at how these same groups of people treat other races in their own countries. Specifically the chinese. Its the same here but much worse. Now look at how predominately black african nations treat white people and even the chinese on their land. Its not even a question that racism is more systematically instilled in certain races.
I'd say "in certain races in certain cultures". Simply because I don't think you can accurately generalise "races" globally in that way, as they don't share one culture or system, and I don't think it's "race inherent", so to say. I don't think anything is, tbh.
Of course, what you're describing is accurate for large parts of the world.
