Spider-Man PS4 $199 Black Friday Bundle Is So Popular It Is Already Selling Out Everywhere

Meanwhile over at Insomniac and Sony Santa Monica.



Obviously Niche-Man was the headliner but I wouldn't be surprised if GOW sold at least another 1-2 million units (globally) over this weekend. It was the go to pick up in tandem with Mr Niche.

Probably more effective to do one week of $199 slim and $299 pro the week before Christmas than like last year when they had two weeks of pro on sale and a late announcement of slim being $249.

So if bundles were to be counted in NPD, would Spider-Man make the top 3 in November?

Or, you know, when you're actually so blind (to put it mildly) that you can't even see that a franchise like Spider-man, on the world's best selling console, during the popularity of comic book movies/tv shows, is not going to be niche.

Makes sense considering it costs Sony nothing. That's why the mentioned BO4 bundle in the last page being 199$ doesn't seem believable to me, because i don't think Sony really needs to lose money in order to sell more.

This always happens around this time of the year. A lot of stuff sells very quickly because of the holiday rush.

I know this isn't the thread for it but I'm guessing Sony and Insomniac's relationship is solidified. They sang Sony's praises about the development process and how they acted as a publisher, I'm thinking access to Marvel IP would make a potential acquisition food for thought. I'm not saying they'll agree or that Sony has even made an inquiry. Just that given their history and the audience they've found on the PS platform a Sony acquisition probably makes more sense to them than an offer from any other publisher.

Nope, but places like Target had deals on Pros after Black Friday the past two years. If it's Target, it's usually a Cartwheel deal. Problem is Target hasn't been stocking stores with Pros this past year very much. Either that or Sony isn't providing retailers with enough Pros. But Target's warehouse has them (the Red Dead bundle).

Isn't Black Ops like $39 at most places this weekend? Couldn't you just get the Spider-Man Bundles and Black Ops 4 for about $270 after taxes?

Also, Target has listed the next PS4 Slim bundle with COD for the 27th (still 299.99). Not sure if they had a date until now.

Wasn't Spiderman also 35 dollars? Could have just bought a stand alone slim plus both those games for less than what scalpers are selling the spiderman bundle for now.

Basic PS+ question: is it required for cloud saves? I bought a one month sub because I wanted the free yakuza game and I'm looking at the $40 annual sub. Trying to decide if it's worth it as someone without multiplayer PS4 games
Also on the lookout for a PS4 Pro deal as well. If it goes on sale for $300 or if my 20% target coupon is somehow accepted, I could then sell my PS4 slim for $100 to a disappointed individual who didn't get in on this deal.

Online saves are part of PS+. You can always offline save to a USB drive if you dont want to pay for PS+.

also, if you are going to play Uncharted, play Lost Legacy before you play 4. It's jusr better all around, and will ease you into the series better than 4

Someone must not actually follow my feed then, because I was worried I was overhyping the Spider-Man bundle.

Thing is, have no idea on quantity produced for this and the Kart Switch bundle, so yep both were super hot, but will that be reflected in the Nov results? Tough to say.

Based on store checks and anecdotal, the Spidey bundle, the One X and the Kart Switch bundle all seemed to do real well. But selling out doesnt necessarily mean much, all depends on how many units were made available.

If you don't care about the IGC (aka the free game you just got in Yakuza) then I would say the money on the sub and just by an external HD to store them on if you don't want them to stay on the system.

I'm saying that Lost Legacy is better than UC4 and he should play that first. Fuck spoilers, it's not like UC4 is this riveting tale or anything. Playing UC4 first might turn them off the series altogether since it's a game with a lot of "downtime", and it might not connect for people that aren't already invested in the series.

PS+ will stop giving away games for PS3 and Vita at the end of February, so come March 2019, we will no longer get free games for those platforms in our subscription to the service.

Just in case you don't know, if you don't have an active ps plus sub, you'll lose access to yakuza / any other ps plus game you download. They'll always be on your account if you grabbed them when available, but if you don't have access ps plus, you can't play them.

As in the IGC will not have free games each month for Vita after like March next year. The services won't stop on Vita far as I know.
