and thats is something the left should learn (be organized).
the right is full or dumb people but they are dumb together. from this kind of thing to the NRA. thats why even in small groups they sound loud.
That's absolute bullshit

The reason you hear more about their hate campaigns is because their awful bullshit generates more headlines and outrage. There's a ton of tightly organized left leaning movements/organizations doing good all over the country that just isn't brought up.

Since most incels don't have a job they need the camgirls of the world to pay their bills through taxes.

That makes me wonder, how do taxes actually work when you are a twitch streamer, youtube-content creator or webcam adult entertainer? What if you just do it casually and get like 3 bucks a month, do you still have to pay taxes on those?

That 3 bucks would probably be through donations, so probably not.
As for the bigger guys and gals, I think Twitch Channel Analytics gives you a detailed list of all your earnings over whatever time period you want. Not sure if it counts donations.

So donations are exempt? What about ad revenue, channel subs and the like?

While they should pay taxes so I can't say I have a problem with reporting them for tax evasion in isolation, but that's clearly not the motive of these haters. Disgusting.

Personally though governments should focus more on the big companies avoiding paying tax rather than some random citizen who probably barely makes enough to live on as it is. But we all know that will never happen.

as far as I know, any amount of money you make from 1 source in 1 year that is over 400$ your duty bounded to declare tax on em.

That's absolute bullshit
you are not wrong about it being pretty good bait titles, but im right tho. they are extremely good at organizing emselves.

I'm not 100% sure, I think they are in the US.
Subs and ad revenue would definitely be taxed as you are essentially working for Twitch as they take a cut of those.

Donations to streamers are just regular business revenue and taxed as such. The streamer would likely get a tax form from the service they use. If not they would just enter as gross receipts in a schedule C. Now if its some tiny amount like 50 bucks, honestly the IRS won't care if you report it or not.

Only 'donations' to qualified non-profit organizations are tax exempt.

Ah, thanks. Reading up a bit it seems like if you make very little it's possible you won't actually get taxed on donations, basically to where you are simply covering the costs of streaming, but you do have to declare it regardless.

It obviously depend heavily on where you live too.

These guys have never filed their own taxes, as their parents still claim them as dependents.

Losers.

These people are so gross. I mean who doesn't wanna sleep with someone who calls them bitches and reports them for tax fraud?
Also, zero evidence of tax fraud is what it seems like. And who the fuck is looking at a cam site and thinking about taxes!? Lol last thing on my mind is these girls tax rates.

I like how they are attacking these women but if anything they should cherish them. They are incredibly hot and it's probably the closest thing to sex they'll ever have.

Also, that Roosh character is creepy af.

Incels do seem wild about this but I doubt camgirls are the only group where some are making money online and not paying taxes. And with no way for the reporters so know whether or not they do I guess they just report anyone they don't like. What happens when it's someone who isn't evading taxes? This is a very strange hobby

Anyone who doesn't pay their taxes, absolutely should, but I think there's a time and a place to take that stance, and doing so while these excuses for men are trying to punish women for not desiring them is neither.

Tax evasion is something that really bothers me, but in this instance you can't separate that from this witch hunt.

That video of the guy making these reports in that first twitter thread sure is something. PSA: If you ever think of yourself as a "reality check", do everyone a favour and think again. What a flimsy excuse to be an asshat.

This is pretty much the same stance I have on it. If you are earning the money then you need to pay the appropriate taxes on it like everyone else does -- but the motivations behind reporting them are very clearly not about that at all and what's happening is very much the equivalent of "its about ethics in games journalism". I'm sure they don't have that same energy in chasing white-collar tax evasion. If they actually gave a real shit about it they would be focused there, large business tax evasion & tax haven usage.

Pretty much. Waste of energy on small timers trying to get by. Why not seek and destroy higher profile folks if you care that much.

If you could put a tax on how much cringe a person generates I think Roosh V could probably wipe out the national debt.

Also "thot" is the actual worst slur, can you imagine someone hates women so much they cant even really think of a reason to latch to?? so its just like THESE WOMEN ARE JUST SO LIKE... UGH LIKE PROBABLY SLUTTY AND THAT THEY EXIST, THAT SO CLICHE, LIKE, BEING IN EXISTENCE OR WHATEVER. TYPICAL.

Also to those saying like "but.. making people pay taxes they owe is good!" sure but imagine u went around to your local police station reporting all your black friends for weed possession you don't even know if its true you just figured statistically its likely and they'll have to deal either way with a massive hassle at best, not exactly jimmy justice is it? It's more like low level swatting.

Tax law is so Byzantine that pretty much everyone is dodging taxes. For example, how many people actually record use tax from every online retailer they patronize?

A lot of the legal system is designed to prevent fishing expeditions against individuals for unrelated reasons but that's exactly what the harassers are doing here.
Hm, I see. It is worse than I thought, then. What a bunch of disgusting creeps.

I do not understand why we have this conversation on resetera? In one hand we have obviously hate speech (thots and other words for SW) but in another hand tax fraud is a serious crime and it should be punished.

So how the hell did the get the IRS to audit them? You can just tell the IRS to audit someone and they do it? There's no consequence against you for wasting their time if the audit doesn't turn up anything?

Could be from multiple claims i dont think the IRS is gonna spur into action from a single claim but if multiple people report the same person then that may get their attention.

Then why the fuck are they only going after cam girls? There's way better targets for tax fraud investigations than a few cam girls who might as well be paying their taxes.

we are watching in real time as dumbasses who are generally vehemently anti-tax enthusiastically cheerlead for the IRS because they think that in this moment it will hurt women more than it will hurt them

that's some prime "economic anxiety" unfolding right before us

So it's fine to report someone to the authorities for a crime you have no proof of just out of petty spite? Just because "if they have nothing to hide they have nothing to fear"?
Anybody can report to the authorities about anything and this is how it works, and it's fine. But online harassment, hate speech and other things that incels just do is unacceptable

That in and of itself should 100% be a crime. Fair enough if you have reasons to believe someone is committing tax evasion, but this is clearly an harassment campaign.

An audit is itself an investigation to double check that the taxable income you've reported is actually what you've earned. It's seriously annoying and potentially time consuming.

These unfuckable losers do not give the faintest shit about whether or not these girls are paying taxes on their snapchat earnings. They think these girls have wronged men like them and this is just the heaviest way they can find to harass them for it.

The services usually have tax forms built into their back end. So you may not pay taxes on your earnings up front, but they can process 1099 C or at least give a more detailed breakdown for tax purposes.

I dont know because I am not in the US. In some EU countries, it depends on how much you make. If you ocassionaly make some money it is considered a hobby in many countries and therefore not subject to income tax (it is treated the same as a second hand sale of used goods, for which you also do not pay taxes). If you actively pursue a career in streaming and make money for which someone could make a living it is no longer considered a hobby and is therefore subject to tax. So the answer to your question is: it depends on the level of activity and the amount of income you generate with it. I would guess it is treated similar in the US.

Kool and the gang. Glad you clarified your stance.

Oh, could you just shoot me a quick PM with your name and home address? Just wanna report you to your local police for manufacturing drugs on your property. After all, I have no proof but if it's a false alarm, they will investigate it, so no harm done. Right?

And I know you won't have a problem with that, because "Anybody can report to the authorities about anything and this is how it works, and it's fine." So long as it's not online harrassment, it's all cool. Right?
