It's a great game but I think a lot of people coming off Origins saw it and thought it looked a bit too similar and are waiting on some deep sales.

A shame as it's probably my favorite Assassin Creed game since 2. I think it sold quite well in the US at least.

So this probably explains why it was being sold for $27 at multiple places for black Friday.

Hopefully they get the hint to stop releasing new games in the series every year. Give them more room to breath.

Ubi has already confirmed that there will not be a major AC game in 2019 and that the franchise is not returning to an annual release schedule.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: sales figures for console retail in smaller countries don't really matter because:
- They aren't representative of global sales.
- They don't account for digital sales which comprise a significant and growing portion of total sales.
- They don't account for the other revenue streams that determine a game's success, like DLC and microtransactions.

Also, this article is pretty stupid because it's comparing sales for a game that's been out less than two months to lifetime sales for the previous games.

This is where I'm at. I just finished Origins over the summer. Odyssey came about too soon, and looked too similar. So I'll pick it up next year when a complete GOTY edition is out.

Really OP? Really???

You make a thread specific to a relatively tiny market, Ignoring how it's the best performing one worldwide to provide this completely useless perspective you can't extend outside of it's country of origin?

What kind of discourse did you expect to take place in here?

This can be discussed in the main PAL Charts thread.
