The games are pretty self-contained, so feel free to jump straight to EO4.
Just realized that Mario + Rabbids got a permanent pricedrop from 59.99 to 39.99€ on the european eshop at least. Gold edition from 79.99€ to 59.99€.
I bought it and playing mostly on handheld. I couldn't see any major performance issues. The game is 30Fps though and looks a little bit rough on TV mode but handheld is fine.
Thanks, guys. This morning I realized that I already have Steamworld Dig 1 on 3DS (got it from a Humble Bundle deal, I think). Going to try and play it in the next couple of days to see what I think and maybe get the sequel and Heist.
Have fun playing Dig 1 and imagine to yourself while playing, "What if this game was x3908430983 better?" ... then you have Dig 2!
True. Steamworld Dig is a tech demo. Dig 2 is the real game, an actual good Metroidvania with its own unique features.
Steamworld Dig 1 is good, but 2 is on a completely different level.
Dig 1 is just a cool little digging game with procedurally generates levels and a few fun challenges with a couple of cool upgrades.
Dig 2 is a 100% hand designed full blown metroidvania with some incredibly fun dungeons and fantastic upgrade progression. It's easily one of my favorite games in years.
I snagged boxboxboy and Hyperlight Drifter... and I think I'm on the fence about Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion. Really enjoyed the prequels as a kid and the nostalgia is pulling me in!

Played Gorogoa on my iPad. Excellent game, especially for a portable console.

is Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition worth it at that price? not sure if the DLC is worth my time and extra money compared to the base game.
Yeah, I had a brain fart. I remembered Heist was at one end of the trilogy, I just got the wrong end.
Now cwistofu can laugh at the people saying the Switch has no games!
Is the gold edition of Mario + Rabbids worth it for the Donkey Kong campaign or is the regular edition still good?

Excellent. I never played Skyrim before and played almost exclusively in handheld mode. Put in over 65 hours on it.
I've managed to hold off buying anything from this sale. My backlog is too big! Can't guarantee I'll manage to hold off until the sale ends though, hah.

these games are amazing to me. They are good/decent RPGs.
If the games are part of the Nintendo cyber deals promotion then it ends on the morning of 11/28 (NA of course). Not sure when sales end for games that aren't specifically in that promotion though.
So, does Mario + Rabbids Gold include the Steampunk Pack? Season pass says it's included in the description, but on the checkout page, there's no indication that it's in there.
Steamworld Dig 1 is 2-3 hours, but Dig 2 is at least 6 hours if you ignore all the side stuff. Took me 10-12 hours to 100% the game and it's one of the few games I've ever played where it was enjoyable to 100% it.
Yep! Bought it myself months ago and got the Steampunk Pack with it. However they're not very good. You'd only use them early on. The 8-bit weapons are far better.
I've never played a Steamworld game but I have enough coins for one, Dig 1, 2, or Heist? I hear the order doesn't really matter
