It only works with the Dualshock 4.

I've never had motion sickness problems but my eyes feel a little strained after long sessions.

IIRC in Astro Bot your vision is locked to your head

Your vision never moves of its own accord

Which is what causes the majority of motion sickness in VR

Should be very light spectrum in terms of sickness

Motion sickness will be an individual thing, but most of this game is you looking down a 'lane' where the level takes place. Not much moving around to the sides or spinning in any way.

As others said, only played with a DS4 and does some neat things with it.

You can only play with DS4 and motion sickness is ok, just limit yourself to 2 levels and then take a short break and repeat

It doesn't cause motion sickness. However, if you're new to VR, shouldn't play long sessions of any game.

Astro Bot only uses DS4 and is very low chance you will get motion sickness, just don't focus your eyes on a still object while moving forward and you will be find, constantly look around for things that catch your attention or focus on astro bot himself.

There's some sections that are more intense than others, e.g. a short racing track like the mine cart sections from DK or the penguin race from Mario 64.

Otherwise, the game didn't cause anyone to get motion sickness/ feel woozy I showed it to. You should be fine even if you haven't "grown your VR legs" yet, it's not the most intense VR game out there and an absolute blast to play.

DS4 only, and Astro Bot is good about not inducing nausea. Definitely a game I'd recommend to someone who's getting into VR for the first time.

Also, do it! Well worth the asking price.

You are technically moving forward in the game as your body stays still so if you are not used to VR that will give you a strange feeling, and if you are prone to motion sickness might making you feel uneasy.

Even if you feel a bit sick, the game is split up into stages, so I would take it slow and play one at a time, then take headset off. Bit sized session like that are a good way to introduce yourself to VR.

Thanks for the answers everyone! There's a cheap PSVR Astro Bot bundle I may buy...

Not completely true, when Astro moves forwards you move with him. It's a very gentle forward motion though, it's unlikely to cause nausea, and even if you're sensitive and do feel sick you should get used to it fairly quickly.

Should cause very little motion sickness, you are pretty much looking down in the action and it moves quite slowly. You do have to look around a bit though even behind you.
