The handheld performance ain't that bad. It's easily playable.
That's a pretty shitty sale, at least compared to what Sony regularly does.

I know they're on sale on the US store, which sucks even more they aren't on the EU one. I had credit left on my my main EU account so I couldn't swap my region to US.
I wouldn't say fully embracing. Compared to the standard set by other publishers most of these games are very expensive.
It is discounted. I litteraly just bought the whole expansion pack for €22,50. Go grab it!
It's great. Really is the perfect Switch game because you can play it (as the title implies) at just a minute each time.
Breath of the Wild is amazing. It's niche and flew under the radar but just trust me on this and get it now.

The old Nintendo that never gave discounts on first-party games is dead, thankfully.
Just as PSA, FIFA 19 physical is 29.99 at Gamestop Germany, which is even cheaper than this sale.

Bought a Switch mainly to play BotW. Everything else is just gravy! (I'm a sucker for Zelda tho)

The first party stuff is still more than I'm willing to pay. Might have to pick up Wonderboy though.
I really don't understand the argument of 'Game X sells well why should it be on sale'. Are we saying that only games that aren't very good or have failed to sell in decent numbers should be discounted?

If you like the combat, you will get a kick out of it. The story stuff is so-so. For me, the best part was the hard mode it added. That was quite fun (though also frustratingly hard at times). Master Trials on hard mode was a trip.
Literally just ask if they can pricematch, they say no, they offer you a gift card of the difference in value.

Because, unless something has changed, you can't buy anything on the US eshop with a European debit/credit card. Right? The only other option is buying US eshop credit on import.

No, just games that have slowed down sales-wise and would benefit from a boost, which is most games after a year or so. Nintendo's tentpole games are unique in the industry in that they tend not to slow down for a long time.

I played the game entirely in handheld mode. I put in about 150 hours and didn't have any issues in handheld mode.
As someone who played like 50 hours of side content in portable, its really not bad at all.
I played all the main story stuff on the TV just for the epicness of the big screen, and then a lot of side stuff I just plugged away at in portable.
I got like 175 hours out of it, so yes, to me it is. Or even more.
Guys, if I have the UK cart of BOTW, can I get the south african store version of the BOTW expansion pass and will it be compatible? I can't seem to find a definitive answer yet
