Square Enix are always doing this. Do they have these CGI companies on retainer, or something?

Even Ubisoft have grown out the yearly Assassin's Creed CGI trailer (last one I remember is Black Flag, but could be more recent).

I already know how gameplay looks from the copious amounts of pre-release footage, but this trailer got me pretty excited again. I forgot how close JC4 was to release, looks like it'll be a fun time.

AC Origins had 2 CGI trailers.

Rainbow Six Siege still gets the short cgi operator videos every season.

Visual Works is a Square Enix division, and all they do is CG - for games, for ads, for spin-off movies, contract work for external companies etc. The high-end research Visual Works do is also folded into their real time engines as often as possible. It's a core part of their business.

I must have missed those, thank you. Odyssey has this but it looks like it's mostly in-game which is good!

Ah, that explains a lot! Thank you.
