I'm hoping we get an Infinity War style "everyone in the world gets it today!" style bump because a four day late release is effing asinine.
Movie was aight.
Really shitty first 20~ minutes or so, gets better after that but never reaches the highs of the first one.
What was the post-credits scene? I missed it.
A link to a Frozen 2 trailer was clicked, leading to Ralph rickrolling you
No Nintendo means I'm probably waiting until it's streaming. That confirms my fears for this sequel. I just don't have super high hopes for any of Disney's animated movies any more outside of Pixar.

I'm with you on that one. How in the hell did this movie go from video games to THE INTERNET baffles me.No Nintendo means I'm probably waiting until it's streaming. I was thinking of taking my 5 year old but the trailers had made me unsure.
Is it not a bit "over their head" with all the internet stuff? I also thought that dark net stuff was maybe a bit too creepy for a 5 year old. No worries from you?

That's exactly what I didn't want out of a sequel.Huh? The movie is explicitly focused on more broad internet-based references. Having no Nintendo doesn't hurt the film in the slightest.
The last Disney animated movie I loved was Princess and the Frog. Frozen and Zootopia were decent and the first Wreck It Ralph was a lot of fun, but Tangled was a mess and Big Hero 6 was completely forgettable. This is a really weird post considering Disney's (not Pixar) output in the last 10ish years.
That's a shame since it is some of Disney's best output, and one of the best sequels out there. References don't automatically make a movie better. The live action Mario Brothers movie has the most on-screen Nintendo references in a film and we saw how that turned out.No Nintendo means I'm probably waiting until it's streaming. That confirms my fears for this sequel. I just don't have super high hopes for any of Disney's animated movies any more outside of Pixar.
Without spoiling, there's actually more videogame elements in this movie than the first.I'm with you on that one. How in the hell did this movie go from video games to THE INTERNET baffles me.

Crap I forgot about that one. Yeah it's probably their best since PatF, though I honestly don't remember much of it.
Is that date mentioned by Venellope supposed to be taken literally as something actually happening that day in regard to the movie? Guessing it's releasing in your neck of the woods around that time? Coulda sworn it'll be released in all territories by Christmas Day though.
You're welcome.I wish Felix and Calhoun had more screentime. It felt like their side plot could have used one or two more scenes for fleshing out before they got to their resolution.
Song question:
Anyone know that who did that dance cover/remix of "Let It Go" when Vanellope arrived at Oh My Disney? I want it. =]
It is a good movie for a 5 year old. The dark net part is maybe 2-3 minutes and not scary and there is also very little violence in the movie. Some of the internet stuff will go over their head but the movie is not really about that. It is about Ralph and Venelopee's friendship.
I still need to watch Moana. Zootopia was absolutely fantastic though.
What. Disney's animated movies have been much better than Pixar's for a long time now.No Nintendo means I'm probably waiting until it's streaming. That confirms my fears for this sequel. I just don't have super high hopes for any of Disney's animated movies any more outside of Pixar.
Video game references are in it for a decent amount. Probably the same amount as the first movie. The entire concept of Slaughter Race is basically GTA Online. Most of the internet pop culture references is reduced to a short montage. The majority of the movie is about Ralph and Vanellope's friendship. So my big question, how much "video game" is there in this one? The only reason I was so high on the first film was because of how much of a nostalgic love letter it was to old gaming. This sequel can be extremely well done, but if it's just nothing but internet/pop culture stuff my interest is much much lower in this one.
The last decade of Disney animation has been rock rock to excellent. Moure consistent than Pixar too .No Nintendo means I'm probably waiting until it's streaming. That confirms my fears for this sequel. I just don't have super high hopes for any of Disney's animated movies any more outside of Pixar.
First movie I've seen in a theater in a long time. Was well worth it, I had a big stupid grin on my face the whole way through.
I didn't know there was a post-credits thing, I only saw the mid-credits scene. Shoot!
Incredible. Hope that gets uploaded to YouTube soon, that's excellent. The movie gets you all hyped up to see a preview of Frozen 2 and it immediately cuts to Ralph doing a cover Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
How many princesses scenes are there? Is it worth just seeing for them if I think the rest looks kinda bad?
