Well shit, forgot about him. I even used to work across the damn street from a school named after him. I am ashamed.

So how does it work that we got a black Senator but not a black Rep? MA is so strange sometimes.

Also, Edward Brooke was a REPUBLICAN?! What in god's name...
In the 60s? I can see it.

Wikipedia said:
In the Senate, Brooke aligned with the liberal faction of Republicans. He co-wrote the Civil Rights Act of 1968, which prohibits housing discrimination. Brooke became a prominent critic of President Richard Nixon and was the first Senate Republican to call for Nixon's resignation in light of the Watergate scandal.

Him running would have been interesting because I don't know anybody that associates positive feelings to facebook. How can you get Gallop or Pew to poll stuff? Would love to see them do something on facebook

He also cowrote The Civil Rights Act of 1968 (aka the Fair Housing Act).

Really interesting shit.
Yeah I'm reading through his Wikipedia page, dude has quite a few achievements under his belt.

60s-70s was just a different time, I'm almost positive he'd be a Democrat if he were running today. Pro-choice, extremely pro-civil rights for both blacks and women, helped defeat several of Nixon's SCOTUS nominees.

Oh definitely.

How is there THIS much news the evening before Thanksgiving?
I dunno. It has been dead in here the past few days. Now all of a sudden, BAM like Emeril.

I think Cox has this.

Ben McAdams is not going to vote present on the floor vote, just said he intended to vote for someone other than Pelosi. No real surprise just confirmation of what he has already said.
So what, he's voting for McCarthy? Good luck in 2020.

I predict DCCC $0 spend on UT-4, and good riddance to bad rubbish.

I think there's still room for Valadao to squeak by with a win, but it's sure looking promising.

God, the guy from the President Show just absolutely destroys Baldwin's impression. With Alec's "Troubles", they should just go with him.

McAdams is one of the ones who probably has to vote against her. If anything, the Tim Ryan crew's also making those in districts like his look bad.

He'll probably vote for Colin Peterson or some shit.

lmao ha power

(Higgins is one of the 16 signatories of The Anti-Pelosi Letter. Apparently he and Pelosi have some beef dating back to his first election to Congress.)

Even Colin Peterson would be better than any Republican.

Remember in 2013 when some chucklefucks voted for Ted Cruz? Good times.

When you actually compare the freshmen class from both parties, it's stunning.
