The poster in the OP makes me hate the movie but these reviews seem promising! I'll be seeing it regardless anyway.

Just got out of the movie. My daughter (who is turning 5 soon) and I love the original and we really liked this one.The overall message of the story is really well done and the journey to get there was a lot of fun. The princess scenes were of course our favorite parts. I didn't get a chance to stay through the credits as she was already pretty tired so I'll definitely have to catch that somewhere.

Meh I will probably pass on it and watch it when it comes on DVD or on TV, I don't really care for Ralph as he's just a Donkey Kong clone.

Disney's thing is to not spoil the contents of their animated films, so they always have to rely on scenes that really show nothing significant about the film which leads to lackluster trailers...

I am actually pissed off as the trailer for Frozen mislead me into thinking that Elsa was the villain but the movie that I ended up watching didn't live up to what I expected.

Is this for sure? Super disaplointing considering the second movie was supposed to feature Mario in a big way.

Given that Mario is getting his own movie from another studio, it makes sense to why Nintendo characters aren't in the movie.

The trailers for Ralph 2 are intentionally deceptive and the way the film plays out is significantly different. Actually, the trailers don't even cover the real plot of the film.

You get a lot of Sonic tho.
Don't read the credits though, or you'll spoil the post-credit sequence for yourself.
Nah. I saw that and it didn't spoil it.

Yeah, I didn't even expect the plot to the movie at all. It was pretty literal with it, but I quite liked it. The Disney princess bit was a highlight.

And that Frozen 2 teaser at the end, legit!

I was thinking of taking my 5 year old but the trailers had made me unsure.
Is it not a bit "over their head" with all the internet stuff? I also thought that dark net stuff was maybe a bit too creepy for a 5 year old. No worries from you?

Ah so after credits scene confirmed it seems. Looking forward to see what it is. If I'm unable to check it out tomorrow, will definitely check it out on Friday.

Felt pretty optimistic for the film, taking into that the trailers released prior to most Disney animated films aren't representative of the actual film itself. I remember those Zootopia trailers and lo and behold the theme of the story was on racism and prejudice.

Saw it. Incredible sequel, probably one of the best ever made, next to Spiderman 2 and Toy Story 2.

And the Frozen 2 teaser at the end was simply stunning. I never thought I'd be excited for a sequel to Frozen if all things, but here we are.

Wreck-It Ralph remains my favorite Disney movie (along with Coco), so I'm really excited about this!

The first movie still pulls at my heartstrings like a mother fucker. When he smashes her car, and when Ralph is plummeting to his "death". One of my favorite films. I'll be watching this one for sure.
After rewatching it, my favourite emotional bit might be Ralph's last line of the movie:

"Turns out I don't need a medal to tell me I'm a good guy. Because if that little kid likes me... How bad can I be?"

Always warms my heart.

I have a question to people who have seen the film:

does Vanellope mention anything about an upgrade date in January?

I wasn't expecting anything at the end, especially since the rest of the audience left, so the sneak peek was a wonderful surprise.

I wasn't expecting much, but really came out enjoying the movie. It was a really well done sequel.

Gonna have to watch it more to catch all the Easter eggs.

Regarding review threads in general, why put the RT/MC score in the post text if you're not prepared to update it regularly? It's so rare that I see the number in the post and then I click in the link and it's actually the same number. At the very least there needs to be an "as of xx/xx" IMO

I thought the movie was alright.

Not sure why they cut the Ralph breaks the internet joke from the middle of the movie when it's sort of brought up again towards the end. The pancake scene is still funny. And I loved that it's used as a "scene from trailer not shown in film" joke. And seeing the full credits did let me know what the post-credits scene would be. Still pretty good though

Man you guys got my hopes up about the post-credits thing considering I actually love that movie and am genuinely excited for the sequel. Cute gag though.

First they rename Battle Angel Alita to Alita: Battle Angel

Now they don't name this Ralph Wrecks the Internet

Unforgivable.

Seriously though I hope it's good. I loved the first, watched it with my niece and nephews when they were tiny. Going to be taking them to see this Saturday or Sunday because I am the cool uncle that buys them everything they want when we go to the theater thank you very much.

Am I crazy, or does...
...that stormtrooper really say "let's go to the AirBud Pavilion"?? Like, did I completely mishear that line or did the movie really just namedrop AirBud

Just finished watching, and I loved it. I rated the first a 7.5/10, for being significantly less of a tribute to actual games than I expected, feeling like more of a bait-and-switch. It was a fun time, but it didn't stick with me for long.

I give this one an 8.5/10. A major improvement in just about every way, with a plot that's so simple and relatable, yet uniquely told in a heartfelt way. I'm looking forward to a second viewing while Easter Egg hunting.

I'm surprised that there's a teaser to Frozen 2 at the end. Given how massive it will be, I expected it to be put online immediately.

I'm going to try take the kids (5 and 3) this weekend if we can make it. We all loved the first one.

Hope its not going to go over the top of their heads with 'whats the internet' and that sort of thing.

Can Disney Animation Studios do wrong at this point? While they may not reach the highest of Pixar's highs, they don't tend to have the dips in quality Pixar sometimes have (Cars 2, Brave, etc.).

Their storytelling is on point. And now we know they can do sequels well.

Ugh not a fan of so many movies hopping on the end credits scene bandwagon. Can someone spoil them for me? I dipped as soon as the movie was over.

On the topic of the movie, I left pleasantly surprised. And I liked the overall message of it as well. Would definitely recommend people go see it.

Never saw the first one, but I LOVED this movie. So many Easter eggs, it's crazy.

The AOL sign and Netscape Navigator Easter eggs when Ralph is rummaging through the trash made me chuckle.

Pretty fun movie, and was happy with all the cameos in it. Was really happy with how much they went into dumb internet humor. :p
