I loved my gaf dark theme before I had to take it out back and burn it. Would similarly love a reset!
Damn, spent far too long looking for that awesome mountain theme in the OP before I realised I should read better :(
My goodness m0dus no one does it like you and your team! I lost track of how many dynamic themes of yours I bought/downloaded. When IP holders give you permission to create dynamic themes for them, its incredible. I have so many on my wishlist, always looking forward to what you guys come up with. Many thanks!

No themes are 4K, despite what some creators might insist. The dashboard background is always internally rendered at 1080p/60. However, we have noticed that real-time 3D elements upscale better than flat / prendered assets. I use the term "4K friendly" for that reason. All of my modern themes and the "remastered" themes I've created were made with this in mind.
So it is! It didn't show up when I searched 'Rez' but did when I searched 'Singularity'.
I'm not sure where else to ask, so I'll just do it here: are there any cool Xmas/winter dynamic themes on the store? I did a simple search and came up empty, would love something to help ring in the holidays!

Interesting. Makes me wonder why so many free themes never bother to add it. I figured it was maybe hard to do.

I suppose some folks don't read the documentation, have trouble with the tools, or just don't care. :)
Yeah true, just thought it may be another way for fans to support you. Especially when some themes are free etc. I feel like you're the only theme designer, company that has a proper fan following and the only one who engages with their fans to see what themes they want making.
Just a thought. Oh and before I forget. Are you going to release the Noir theme for a general release?

Nope. Developing dynamic ps4 themes is a much more involved process. It requires a dev kit and a test kit, and some diagnostic monitoring tools if you want to do it right. So, you need to be a developer to do so. :)
That sucks, had many ideas but yeah, I need some Developing skills for this then. =/

Yeah. They are strict with volume levels tbh. Though the digital deluxe dlc does come with the soundtrack :)

Okay. Another concept that is not in any way, shape or form a final product or planned for release - this is more about showing folks how the sausage is made, so to speak.
Also please note: this is unofficial, unfinished concept, and not for release.
This is something I've been tooling around for a long, long time - since Destiny 1, in fact. As we don't know anyone in Activision or Bungie these days, it seemed like another interesting work in progress to share. If we ever had the chance, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat.
The concept behind this theme is an AI companion that lives on your dashboard. the Ghost here is not one object - every single individual component is a separate entity, whose animations are governed entirely by script and a relative coordinate system. I've programmed some basic expressions based on eyeballing some of the cinematics - some with the horns open at various intervals, some of them closed. Additionally, the aperture of the iris changes accurate to the game as well, and governs the glow from the inner light along with subtle motions of its body.
When the user goes from the Content to the function screens, then, the interactive elements come into play - the ghost changes layers from the foreground to the background, and zooms in on the menu - effectively watching you navigate the settings area and reading your notifications. I've tried to make the eye motions realistic in this sense, although I'd say there's still room for improvement. Again, all motion was created after eyeballing some cinematics from Destiny 1.
Because everything is governed by script, we've come up with a range of expressions and behaviors - freeing the theme up from being tied to any pre-canned animation. This creates a plethora of potential opportunities to make every startup unique.
Thoughts are welcome. Again, if the opportunity ever arose to do something like this officially, I'd jump at the chance . :)
