Lol, gotta say didn't think they could fuck up dynamite. Seems like it was so powerful it'd literally crash your game if you were spectating someone as they threw it, from what I can find anyway.

So you got Wild West, Food Fight, and Scavenger Pop-up Cup Duos. Wild West is also a Duos playlist.
Quick question: was the gyro on switch every fixed/made actually good?
Last I checked it launched alright, they broke it, fixed it, broke it, added some options that made it more complicated without fixing it.

Works well for me now. Sensitivity/Inversion can both be adjusted independently of joystick settings.
Dropped it awhile back, think they added too many settings when it should be more simple and there's no training room to try it out but I'll try to give a chance next time.

I'm actually digging Wild West. I love the 'low tech' weapons and lack of shields in this mode. It makes for tense matches.

You can try them in playground. Make sure you adjust the setting depending if you are playing in handheld mode or TV mode.

That's true. The other setting I made sure to use is that gyro is only on when I'm holding ZL down to ADS. I don't want it moving my camera around constantly unless I'm focued on fine tuning my aim.
Got a Victory Royale last night, and I'm still not sure how I managed it. I was out in the open for the final circles, hiding in the shadows but otherwise not under cover or anything, yet nobody saw me even when I was at the bottom of a mesa underneath another player's tower. Then the storm shifts, we make a mad scramble towards the new eye, and the next thing I know I'm running alongside the last two players who are shooting at each other. I end up third-partying the winner and got the VR banner before I could even register what had happened. Really wish video recording was re-enabled on the Switch for that...
I was poking through the collection book in StW and found the Obliterator but you can't research the schematic like you can with normal schematics. I guess because it's an event item. Sucks because I have a shit ton of legendary flux and weapon designs that are just collecting dust. And someone randomly gave me a level 82 Obliterator in a game last night out of nowhere, maybe because I kept reviving them. But still no schematic :(

When sony started to allow crossplay, epic announced that at a later date we will be able to merge our epic account for PS4 and our epic account for everything else, so that we can access all the items/skins we bought in one account.
Is this already possible? On my PS4 fortnite account I've a few twitch items, but it has been unused since the fortnite version for switch came along. I don't want to lose them.

Last thing EPIC said was it's coming in November, the complete radio silence on that matter aren't exactly filling me with confidence though. My guess is they'll either have it ready just before next season or announced it's delayed.
Huh? This is already possible. I used to be PS4 only, they enabled it and now I have my PS4, Xbox, and Switch all on my Epic account with all my skins.
Just go to the website, log in, and look under the account linking area.
It's for those with stuff on a PS4/PC account and a Xbox/Switch/PC account. You have to give one up at the moment, as they are considered separate EPIC accounts and can't be combined, but EPIC said they'll allow you to merge them so all your stuff is on 1 account.
No lies detected. I have hundreds of matches in BR and a decent amount of hours in STW but the shooting remains so damn poor to this day, it's crazy these guys made Unreal Tournament, Gears Of War then this is their best attempt at the shooting game as of 2017/2018? Eh.

Ive played much worse, but there should be no such thing thing as "right-peek advantage" in a game like this. I think the gunplay is mediocre. Jumping shotguns with no accuracy penalty, right-peek advantage, and how quickly M4s bloom out are my biggest issues.
But even with those, it's still not as bad as something like a game that doesn't let you turn off mouse acceleration. At least the reticle goes where I want it to, unfortunately some games can't even get that basic function right.

It's the sole thing that kept me from really getting into Fortnite for the longest time and even now I still actively avoid using some weapons because they just shoot like crap.
GOW was nothing but trash ass hip firing with the shotgun.

Meh while Gnasher battles were fun in Gears 1 and 2, I think Gears 3 was were the franchise found a great balance with the sandbox and made most of the weapons viable or at least competent.
I honestly think that Epic never imagined Fortnite would turn into such a competitive focused game and can't/won't change the shooting mechanics this far in because it would upset fans.

They just had a big 50% off sale and it's still planned to go F2P next year, so I don't know if it's worth $40 rn.
The 50% off sale might come back next month for Christmas.
I see Fortnite less as a competitive shooter and more as a survivalist action game. Gunplay is one part skill and one part luck, which helps to give beginners a chance against veterans. This is critical since there isn't any sort of ranked matchmaking in Battle Royale and keeps amateurs engaged. If the gunplay was more precise, the skill floor would be higher and fewer people would want to play.
I wouldn't call it the worst but it's still pretty trash. The peeps who ask for a no building mode are out of their damn mind.

At least these challenges are something that's possible to get during regular gameplay. I hate the ones where you have to go out of your way to do stupid shit like pianos and radar signs and hoops.
Not a fan of being forced to carry dynamite though.
The only reason I bought that ghost pistol is because I was maxed out on event store cash so I may as well buy something. I'm raking in a lot of gold and coinage lately.
Also, I built a bunch of trap tunnels at my home base and successfully did 2 (4/5 or 5/6) SSD missions solo and my amplifiers took hardly any damage. I didn't know where the final wave was coming from and didn't have any traps set up there so that wave was a bitch. But still, feels good man watching your trap tunnels devour husks and even smashers.

Any tips how to get more? I'd like to buy the pistol but I still need to save 3000 or so to get Dire by the end of the season.
It's certainly the best part of STW. I wish there was a way to reliably join other SSDs. Now that barrens chat is gone you can't even do it that way.
It'd only work if he couldn't use weapons and his pickaxe was replaced with fists that did 80-100 damage per hit.
Go for missions that award candy and reward llamas. Even the small llamas can get you 150ish gold. And try to maximize your mission loot chest by completing side objectives, but that can be a pill depending on who you are playing with.
I think snow will be coming to Paradise with a name change, I can't see them covering the entire map with it.
I'll go with the 2nd one, hasn't that zone been very static for a while?
