Anthem Is Not Being Delayed (response to random Reddit "leak")

The same anonymous reddit user who stated that PS5 would be announced at it's own event in the first half of 2019 also stated Anthem would be delayed cause it's a "mess".
Ofc not, they gonna release it in whatever state it's in and then patch it and add content later just like BF5.

Damn that makes a lot of sense. They also only decided to quell the rumors after 76 too
The user also stated like 24 hours before the announcement that Sony would skip E3 2019, so that's why people trusted the user.
If Anthem doesn't get delayed, I'd be inclined to think that him predicting that was just a huge coincidence.

I guess we'll see but I personally ain't buying it. They have zero incentive to go first.
I think he got information about E3, gained some credibility due to knowing that, made all the other stuff up and had a fun day watching everybody believe him.

EA is in no stance to delay Anthem further... They need this to be a hit. Do we need to talk about how EA has a contingency plan in case BF5 sales are the lowest in the franchise?
BF5 is already a long-term plan for EA just look at the game bugs/glitches, the WW2 game is lacking major battles / major theater of war... Their response? Long term content drops...

I never believed that guy. In my experience, those who leak something and when it turns out to be right they start leaking a ton of irrelevant stuff are just lying to cover their ass. He most likely works at the convention, the ESA or got the press release email early and is making up fake leaks to act like he is just an insider.
I can't decide if I think this game looks really fucking awesome or if it looks like the kind of game that I'll never play.
I mean, still clinging to team 2019 should have been enough of a warning. Also, the idea that Anthem is a technical mess really doesn't jive with E3 demo impressions that were specific in their praise of the gameplay feel, which would imply they had at least that level running pretty smoothly. Anthem may very much be a narrative and conceptual mess, but if it is, that's not the sort of thing a delay would even fix, so why bother. I haven't seen anything other than this "leak" that would indicate the sort of technical issues an extra few months would help.
Granted, the "leak" was specifically about the base consoles, so maybe it's fine on Pro/X and a mess on the base, but if I'm EA, I'm thinking I can probably get away with that. Throw a review event where people play it specifically on the X or Pro to quell any early rumors, talk up how this game is really for the high end, and then ratchet the base versions down to whatever sub-1080p resolution they need to keep framerate drops from being too frequent. It's shady, but they can probably get away with it, mostly, and it was sort of inevitable that eventually some game would end up like that once we had two tiers of console.

It's been in development since 2012. It's been all hands on deck for this title at the expense of other franchises.

Haven't been following. Skimmed that first video. Are people down or up on this stuff? I thought it looked pretty good. Kinda like what I thought Destiny would be more like from reading about it before seeing anything.
I actually hadn't seen these but this is still labeled as Alpha gameplay and depending on how they internally label things the game still being in alpha 3 months before release should be a bit concerning. I'll believe that's the release date when it releases it on that date.
I'll will eat a delicious fucking sandwich if I'm wrong ( I won't be) about them absolutely not releasing PS5 in the first half of 2019. High stakes.
The game is still Alpha with only a few months before release that's not a good sign.
