No brainer. People that played the demo in Paris on PSVR said it plays flawlessly. Just take my money.
Played in the office about a fortnight ago - felt great. Brilliant concept for a game and huge amounts of fun (expert mode wrecked me tho).

Its part of their early access road map so I don't see why it wouldn't be free.
For the PSVR version I could see that, but it wouldn't work on PC considering how easy it is to mod custom songs in.As someone that plays it on rift with custom content, I'd say they should make it free to play with a couple of songs, and then just add cheap packs.
I don't think there is enough content in the base really mainly add I like to play it at easy or medium difficulty ( I'm too old and decrepit to do the higher levels)
Honestly, I don't know how they could sell it on PC. All the tools are there in the custom song editors to 100% recreate any track they release. Whatever exclusive new songs that get released for the PSVR version are going to be recreated for PC within a week if not a few days.
At the moment, yes.
Complete. Sony doesn't really have an early access program except for Fortnite because it's Fortnite. It's currently in Early Access on PC. Is this considered Early Access as well or is it being treated as the completed game?
Are we reading the same thread? This posting after a dozen people said tracking works absolutely fine is a bit... odd.
In general. Are we reading the same thread? This posting after a dozen people said tracking works absolutely fine is a bit... odd.
Am I reading this right? The new Move controllers have a different charging port?
Correct. The use usb mini instead of micro. I might have that backwards. The newer model uses the same type of charger as the ps4 controller while the old model uses the same type as as ps3 controller.

This is pretty much a perfect use case scenario for them. You're literally just having them around and nothing else.I've found the Moves generally work well. It isn't on the same level as Rift and Vive of course. They certainly have flaws and limitations but they get the job done in most situations.
It's great they're adding more songs/modifiers/DLC tracks, but that's all anyone should have ever expected from this. Custom track support was NEVER going to come to PS4, not with how onerous navigating music rights is. I'm frankly shocked the Beat Saver and other custom track sites for the PC version haven't been C&D'ed out of existence by now.
But regardless, glad it's finally coming to PSVR. It's a must-have game for VR IMO, even with a somewhat limited track selection.
How do they compare to the Wii with motion+?I've found the Moves generally work well. It isn't on the same level as Rift and Vive of course. They certainly have flaws and limitations but they get the job done in most situations.
There will be DLC, plus GH was a $60 game, this is only $20. If they give us 3-4 songs per DLC pack, that could be a pretty healthy library when all is said and done. There are only 10 songs in the game? Plus 5, so 15?
That's like a third or a quarter of a Guitar Hero game, right? Hard buy unfortunately. Seems great though, hope there is official DLC later on.
Or some Spotify integration—then all that's needed is downloading custom move sets?Wish there was an opportunity to play custom songs from a USB drive at least. Or some sort of server upload function/possibility to give them the rights to songs.
The tools are relatively easy. The "not well done" custom tracks you've probably heard of are not well done because they're poorly mapped, but all you need is a video playthrough of one of the DLC tracks and you can just copy that mapping (and lighting) which eliminates that issue. And someone (or someones) can and will reproduce it based on that pretty quick because they are a dedicated bunch. It's not so easy to make costum tracks.
From what I heard, many costum tracks are not well done.

Fresh content is our priority and we want to bring you new music regularly. The first Expansion Pack with 10 songs is coming to the game very soon after the release. You can choose between different music genres and enjoy well-known artists together with emerging indie talents

Hmm... this is making me wonder if I should get it now for $20 instead of waiting for a sale. Because that'd be foolish to wait for the price increase. Edit: on PC I mean. Its part of their early access road map so I don't see why it wouldn't be free.
But they will increase the price down the road when the new content is out.
There are plenty of great custom songs out there. It's just that with any open user created system there's also going to be a lot of trash. A few of the better known mappers in the scene were actually hired to help make the new tracks.Often heard "Gangnam Style" is so great but beside that not much.
I am happy with well done DLC :)
Oh for real? That's awesome. Will gladly purchase those tracks if they come out as DLC on PC.There are plenty of great custom songs out there. Yep. BennyDaBeast was for sure though I can't remember who else off the top of my head.Oh for real? That's awesome. Will gladly purchase those tracks if they come out as DLC on PC.
I had no idea the move tracking was so shitty. That's disappointing for how expensive it is, what are some of the best/worst VR games that use the Move?

I have over 90 custom songs loaded on my PC Beat Saber, and I still play the base songs regularly. They're all very well executed, which is not always the case for the customer user-created ones.

Quality will always vary depending on the talent, but there are quite a number of well-produced custom songs out there. I'd say there are at least 100-150 songs I replay consistently and a good number of other acceptable ones. The ones that are straight trash are really obvious right from the get go. The community also has a set of "best practices" for creating tracks that they tend to follow. The worst (and best) thing about custom songs is that ultimately most of them are tailored to hard/expert play. It is a bit more difficult if you are a casual user who sticks to the lower difficulties and want to get into the custom stuff. Very much like Stepmania in that regard.
wut? they are increasing the price going forward? Is this something like the Shovel Knight situation.?They said they will be increasing the price as they add more content,
Where did you see $30? I've looked around and have only seen rumors of pricing here and there which is where I got the $20 price from. I can't find anything official. $30 for 15 songs would be a little on the steep side. Having played it I would still consider it worth the price, but maybe for new players on the fence wait for a sale given the lack of modding potential and paid future DLC.Great, somehow I thought this was a 40 dollar game. 20 is reasonable and the implementation seems excellent. I spent quite a lot in the last few days but will definitely get it at some point. Good to know there will be real songs as well (watched the video and the original songs are great too).
Edit. Price is 30 in Europe.
