Yeah same here. I can recommend this game for new players, but I sure am not going to start everything from scratch again (my old account was PS4), have tons of rare mods and platinums over there..

But don't expect to know everything any time soon, I am 600+ hrs in, and there is still things I am learning, plus with the release of fortuna, there will be more to learn.

So... what is this game? Can someone give me a relative comparison? I read somewhere it's a Destiny loot-game?
It's a bit like Destiny, but it's not.
It's a looter shooter (with melee) that has very quick parkour movement, loads of enemies (think dynasty warriors ish), loads of systems, hundreds of weapons that are all very different, lots of frames with diverse play styles, loads of customization, a very deep mod upgrade system and a shit ton of content.
If anything, it's a sort of cross between Destiny and Diablo 3, with a bit of Path of Exile
Yeah, it basically just makes a copy of your account on PC and transfers it to Switch. From there, they both progress separately. Not ideal, but better than starting from the very beginning.
So I don't actually fight P2P, it's all 4 v Enemies?

There is a P2P section (conclave) but it's famously underused, yes, it's all co-op, although you can play solo if you want
It's not gonna get cross-play if PC gets updates more often and then consoles have to catch up, unfortunately. The problem of different controls is not such a big thing since it's PVE, however.
The only way I see where they could get out of this pitfall is that the PC version allowed to be in the same version and the consoles, and then you played with console players and other PC players with this option enabled (And console players between each other) and that way you shared your account between, say, your PC and your Switch.
However, if DE wants to keep the development cycle they have been having on PC, they can't do this, because PC players would not like being segregated. So perhaps cross-play will have to be console only, which is a shame for cross-save functionality because many people would want to share accounts across PC and console, particularly the Switch.
Wow, looks really impressive on Switch. Beautiful game. Will definitely download and check out (I dabbled in it at PS4 launch, but didn't stick around long). I'm curious how quickly this burns through the Switch battery.
Basic movements are universal to all frames. Certain frames gave certain abilities that tied to movement that can only perfirmed by said frames.

I logged around 5k hours on the game and I solo 99% of the time. Every mission in game, short of some quests, can be match make. There are many advantages to play in a group.
You have to (no not really) play it on a Nintendo Switch, thus risking your immortal soul into becoming a filthy controller-waggling casual. ;-)
LOVE Warframe. If you are a Destiny player and have wondered about it. Jump in with Switch. Its SO incredible.

Apparently theres gonna be a "clone save" option where for one time only you can copy your save from PC to switch, but after that they're separate accounts and you cant sync them.

As much as I like telling people to spend a few bucks to support the game, I would advise against spend money before you even try the game.
Every new account starts you off with free 50 platinum and many weapon and warframe slots. While you can buy platinum packs so you can spend them on getting even more slots, you can actually roll platinum discounts as a login reward, and you can simply use that to get a substantial discount to get platinum instead.
Warframe ultimately is a loot-grind game, and the more weapons & warframes you leveled, the higher the level you will become as a player (the game labelled as "Mastery Rank").
The real money sink is usually tie to cosmetics, and that is what the vets spend their money on.

The biggest hurdle is that warframe and weapon slots can only be purchased with premium currency....however, before people get their panties in a bunch, premium currency is really easy to come by, by way of in game trading of parts, mods etc.
It's completely conceivable to earn enough platinum by trading to furnish a player with shed loads of slots.

Based on your reaction to Diablo 3 switch, I see absolutely no reason why you should have any interest in this game right now.
