Oh yeah, completely forgot that the Doom Patrol episode was a backdoor pilot to their show.

Also, Breadan Fraser voicing the robot guy. Great.

All this TV show does to me is making me want an actual Batman show.

Like Robin and now Jason are SO much more interesting than the rest of the Titans.

It 100% highlights the need for a legit, big budget GothamVerse. Like... how is this the start of on-screen BatFamily. It's so good, but I want more.

I do wonder if they will show actually show Bruce at some point.

How old would Bruce be in this universe?

I find the Titans themselves way more interesting

This episode, while good was a major step down from the last which focused on the Titans

I did love how they turned the brutality meter up to 11 for Jason, I mean Dick is a brutal fighter and its what he is trying to escape, but Jason goes all into it.

At first I didn't like Dick being so brutal, but they managed to contrast Jason Todd so well I was again impressed with the show.

Starfire is dope, but Raven has been little
more than a mcguffin and Beast Boy is sort of just there.

Dick carries the show, and having a huge DC character like that in live action does a lot for it.

Just watched the latest episode and while I agree that it was a step down from last week's insanely dope one, I dig how heavily they're investing in the Robin/Batman dynamic and Dick's complex surrounding it and violence in general. They've sold me on that character really well and this episode felt like forward progress for him

Dicks not interesting enough for me and his actor isn't that good to really carry anything for me. I still like him tho

The actor who plays Jason has a TRAGIC hairline. I understand the haircut they did for him now

The difference in quality between the first three eps and the last 3 is huge. The show has done a complete about face for me.

How many episodes is this season going to be?
I'm planning to binge this once it finally releases on Netflix.

Man that was awesome sauce ep

I am not as well versed on the Robin lore but still fascinating to see all this shit with ol Dick feels being left out as Robin

Watching Jason show how morally fucked he is from the start after 1 year with Bruce

Gar really wanted to be Robin so bad lol

There was no real advancement of the overall arc with Rachel... this was a detour to give Robin more stuff to do

I don't think they are gonna torture the Dr.... but who knows... maybe he will be dead and it will be Starfire's fault this time

The Titans themselves could have been great but the direction of the versions hurts it imo.

Meanwhile
Dick
Jason
Hawk
Dove
Doom Patrol
Batman's legitimate existence

All seem 1000% more interesting

For the direction the show currently has a team lineup with the originals would have worked far better
Dick
Roy
Donna Troy
maybe Wally

Could even eventually have Artemis(the Wonder Woman version) and Jason as a Red X type conflicting group

I tend to agree, there hasn't been much demonstrated in way of convincing us this is going to be a Team someday

We've only really seen them fight together once, but people mostly go off and do their own thing

I liked we got to see inside of the Batcave and the new Batmobile yet it was never a major focus... it was just there as the camera pans around to see the Bat computers watching the Zucco's

That villain in of itself was boring... call him Mr. Acid Man or something... not far off from a lamer Two-Face

He's just a convenient evil reflection of Robin such that he can see his internal demons, face-to-face.

Despite some low points, I'm really enjoying the show. This last episode was really good and I loved the contrast between Dick and Jason and how they played off each other. I didn't miss Raven or Beast Boy at all this episode (even though I liked BB's little bit wanting to be a Robin).

Thankfully this show has 2 seasons confirmed... so we still got time to flesh out each character proper.

Really enjoyed Jason and all the crossover eps but yeah, the Titans part of the show is a little behind. I know it's like 10 episodes (or maybe 11 depending on the length of the finale) but I like it well enough. If it was 13 to 18 episodes I could maybe see more universe expanding one-offs as fun.

Jason is really a punchable little shit but I think that's sort of the charm and understandable at times. Or if only to make Dick look 100x better.

I agree that the originals (maybe also Lilith, taking the part of Raven) could work better but those characters are out of the people minds for a long time, the writers are playing safe with the most recognizable characters.

You know why this episode is good?
No cliche good but psycho villains. At least they are dead

Damn Bruce didn't even wait and got a rebound on Jason. Dick all jealous

I thought the scalpel will come in play'

Dick: I'm not Robin. I'm.... Ric
