Yeah MP100 is incredible, but at the same time it's only 12 episodes (vs what, 36? for this part?) which might have helped. Super hyped for season 2 next year though.

MP100 is the golden standard for adaptions but Jojo isn't far behind. MHA don't get me wrong is good but is not really overly stylish and flashy

I keep watching the dance clip.

I've look forward to seeing this scene adapted for years for the sheer wtf factor.

I was still not prepaired for it.

DP is on fucking point this season.

Great episode! Definitely not the direction I was expecting them to take with the dance, but I love it lol. If I had any complaint, it would be that some of dance animation was a bit choppy, but that's fine, I'd rather they put time into the fights first and foremost. They NAILED the tension of that harbour scene, and Sex Pistols definitely got done justice.

Unless the story take a complete nose dive in the future, this is shaping up to be my favorite part just for the production alone.

That dance sequence was glorious.

The stand isn't the gun, it's not Part 3. The stand are the six things that control the bullet trajectory.

Yup. The Stands in Bucciarati's squad (with one exception, IMO) are purposefully designed to emphasize each person's specialty within the group.

Bruno is team leader and main tactician. Sticky Fingers affords him the ability to consistently reposition and outmaneuver. As a result, he can more swiftly assess a situation and the layout of the "battlefield".

Abbacchio is the investigator. Moody Blues affords him the ability to collect intelligence and comb for even the most minor of details.

Mista is the assassin. Sex Pistols affords him the ability to more effectively circumvent enemy defenses and carry out hits.

The six of them eating food makes me wonder the same thing as Killer Queen's stomach compartment did. Where does the food go when Mista phases them out of existence? Does it fall to the ground? Disappear? Become part of Mista's digestive system?

Yeah, I think Part 5's beginning has been the most enjoyable out of all of the part beginnings so far for me. A bit surprised after seeing people often rank it lower than all the rest.

From what I've gathered from what manga readers have said, most of the issues that are complained about are more towards the end of the part.

The best part of part 5's cast is that, while their stands are a liiiiittle bit dumb on the surface and not as apparently "powerful" (aside from some obvious exceptions), they use their stands in really really REALLY creative and suuuuper competent ways. The next fight is probably one of the most criminally underrated fights in the series, and I can't wait to see how DP handles it.

This is actually mainly due to the poor translations of the Part from back then. It skimped on the characterization of like every character within Golden Wind

Man, I saw scans of the dance scene that showed just the Dance and I thought it was just simply a silly JoJo-pose dance...

But JESUS I was not expecting it to be part of a torture-scene like THAT.

Someone please tell Giorno that we know already he has a dream. The gang dance was marvelous, among my favorites scenes in the series now.
Apparently the song that plays during the dance is original. The OST needs to be released ASAP.
DP needs to make a spinoff with Mista or better, just make him the protagonist of the anime.
