Yeah, you can swap any skills when you want, except when your in greater rifts. Dont forget also to turn Elective Mode ON in the option. Youll be able to use more than 1 skill per categories, and also turn advance tooltip ON too, give you more info about skills

Yep! Absolutely everything can be reversed. There's even an option to save your different builds as presets that you can switch between. There's a ton of equipment combinations that can drastically change how your character works and figuring out whether or not you want to keep legendary equipment long-term vs consuming it equip it's effects (using the Kanai Cube) as a passive is a major part of that. Save any legendaries you come across so you can figure that out.

Equipment prior to level 70 except for legendaries you want to extract the passives out are super unimportant, so really.. go wild and experiment!

Cool, thanks! Now I just need to choose a class I'll like, haha.

Should I keep grinding on my non-season character nd sit for the next season, or start now even though we only have a few weeks?

Did you kill the Skeleton King to get it? The first time you kill him, he's guaranteed to cough up a Leoric's Crown, so that could be it. Otherwise: no, the Monk isn't inherently luckier than any other class; you just got a little luckier. There is a Magic Find stat, which (very) slightly influences legendary drops, but hardly any equipment uses it anymore. Raising the difficulty is pretty much the only way to get more legendaries.

The Mystic artisan can change the appearance and color of your equipped items. You'll get her in Act V if you're playing the campaign. (Most dropped equipment you get will be a random color, so a lot of players can look fairly ridiculous early on.)
I actually got two. One before the Skeleton King and one after I defeated him. Should I sell or dismantle the other one? I guess I should probably dismantle it since it appears gold is a non issue in this game.

Just beat the story for the first time, finally after 6 years and 4 platforms lol.

So what's a good strategy for a first timer to try to blow through these seasonal challenges to get the set?

It's gonna sound dumb but try and focus on the objectives themselves. It's easy to get lost just having fun killing shit and upgrading your stuff all the time. Some (or all maybe?) of the chapters have challenges that have character levels in the descriptions; those are good lvl requirement expectations for the difficulties the challenges require. So if you are lower level, do other stuff until you are at least that level.

I'm 65 rn and spent the last half of the story on expert so I feel like I should be good to go on most things, just wondering if there was an ideal strat to moving through them quickly but I will take your advice and just focus on one at a time. Thanks!

Oh dammit, I just read the FAQ saying I should start the game with a season character. I started at normal and just beat the Skeleton King. Should I start over?

Couple of quick questions:
  • Is there ever any reason to use signature spells? They're so weak and ineffective and with elective mode not necessary at all, but I'm wondering if I could be missing some utility

  • Has anyone had a problem with the game freezing when resuming from standby? It's weird - the game didn't actually freeze, just the gameplay froze. I could use Diablo 3's menus and inventory with no issue, but when I exited out of the menus, everything was frozen. I could even quit out of my game back to the main menu, but the main menus were also frozen in the same strange way. I had to exit the game completely and restart it to begin playing again.

One more question:
  • Can someone link me to the right official site or FAQ page which summarizes all of the different things you can do in the end game? All these different concepts are getting muddling around in my head and I can't really distinguish them from each other - kanai's cube, crafting, etc.

I think the benefit is that there is no resource cost, so you can still use them after you unload all of your resource. Not super familiar with Wizards, so I'm not sure if any end game builds use them or not.

No, I haven't experienced that.

Googled around and found this. Seems to be a pretty good guide and summary of all the various things that can be done in the end game.

How does the "fully equip a follower" objective work? I already did that and nothing happened (well, except for that book icon, don't know what that is).

Aren't seasonal characters only for adventure mode, though? Shouldn't I finish the campaign first?

Seasonal are for both mode, story or adventure. Advantage of doing season is that in adventure, you have challenges to do, and your first caracter can complete a set. Its really worth it starting out in seasons.

Dammit, I really didn't want to start over, as I already played the beginning with 3 characters already, lol.
Maybe I'll pick a Demon Hunter and main that.

Those are relics specific to that follower which you need for that challenge. You can make them at the blacksmith, and they also drop as well.

I'm using the Shard of Hate as my Cube weapon power. Using lightning skills on a DH. The description of the power says 'change to trigger...Charged Bolt' with lightning. In my experience it procs 100% of the time. I'm not complaining, but that seems like a bug. Anyone else notice that?

The game was still #1 on the eShop this morning but should fall a bit below the 2 Pokemon games that came out today

We'll see where it holds after Black Friday. There will be a large bursts of new Switch owners buying games next weekend

Im very sure even Blizzard didnt expect this. Still cant beleive how popular that game is on Switch, for a game that was release 6 year ago. Hope it open their eye, who knows, maybe Overwatch, HearthStone could bring similar success.

Your first Boon of the Hoarder only drops in the vault after defeating Greed. Don't think you need to run a specific difficulty to get it.

I think they knew it would be successful. We saw how their social media got blown up after the light switch tease. Also Nintendo has been pushing it pretty hard. This is the first 3rd party game to have a special edition Switch in the West afaik

So I'm playing through the campaign with a Necromancer. Why should I be concerned with the seasonal or adventure stuff? This seems really confusing to me.

Also the game seemed way too easy. Didn't realize I was playing on the lowest difficulty. This really seems like a perfect port.

Adventure mode is just a way to play without the story stuff getting in the way. It has rotating missions\bounties. Seasons are time limited and just offer rewards only available during that season...it also has leaderboards.

How is the performance on switch, and do the visuals take a big hit from PS4 Xbox one?

Cannot say if on the TV if there would be a visual difference, but playing it in handheld, its literraly the same. Im not seeing a difference if there is one. Maaaybe a bit longer loadings , but beside that, its just amazing playing this game in handheld, Its the best handheld game ever!

Demon Hunter is so.much.fun.

Not as overpowered as the Monk, but really really fun. With the Monk, you just destroy mobs with little effort. With the DH, you have to adapt, use different tactics depending on the enemy, kite a lot, etc.

Monk is fun too, in a lethargic way.

Loving the game so far, very addictive.

I do have a few issues with it, though.

First, the presentation feels kind of... cheap? Generic sound track and very basic story presentation, cutscenes, animation and interaction between characters.

Also on the presentation side, it's kind of baffling that you can't customize the looks of your character. Even mobile RPGs let you change color, hair, size, facial hair, etc. In a RPG that is all about customization, it's kind of disappointing. I know I'm 6 years late with this complaint, but still.

Not OP as the Monk? I've been clearing hordes with multishot, pretty much one shot killing everything. I'm playing as a monk and the climb to level 70 is a slog. Make a multishot demon hunter and you'll see how op he/she can be. Does the monk as any decent AOE skill? Cause i'm waiting to find one that's satisfying as multishot.

Alright, so far I've made it to level 30.
First timer question, what should I do with all the gear I've picked up along the way and won't be using? I have a few legendary, gold and blue stuff. I've thrown a lot into storage after upgrading to 80 I think. Otherwise I'm running out of space and just sell stuff.

Break it all down for materials at the blacksmith, money will soon be a non-issue. Materials for crafting, enchanting and cubing are in much bigger demand. And I'd only hold onto lower level legendaries that have a good power to be extracted via the cube, all others I'd break as well. For example Leoric's Crown is worth cubing so you could use on a fresh character to make leveling a bit faster.

Ohhhh, it gets better, trust me. Monks end up being one of the craziest classes in terms of clear speed. Just wait till you're teleporting like crazy around Torment XIII rifts eviscerating everything in sight:

There are still a lot of customization options, just not for the base characters themselves. The Mystic can dye and change the appearance of all your equipment, plus you also have all the various cosmetics that you come across.

Well, that's just my impression with my limited time with the game, I don't know about end game stuff. :)

So it tells me to download an audio pack, there's one for English UK, but like I can choose English US in the options anyway which doesn't seem like it needs to be downloaded. The UK one is 5gb extra and I don't believe for one minute they re-recorded audio.

Does anyone know what the difference is? I don't recall any other diablo 3 versions differentiating like this, I swear it just said English....
