So ready, pre ordered and all!

More anticipated than RDR2 in my book.
I love me some arpg with puzzle elements and dungeons.
Its been too long since we've had proper good one.

Somebody said there was less of a focus on the Zelda elements in this one, anyone shed some light? I haven't followed it closely. I really liked the first 2 though (despite them kind of blending into one in my mind). I'd be worried if it's the case though.

The goddamned IGN player, why don't they upload that to YouTube straight away?

My biggest worry is the so far lack of different locations, hopefully that's not the case.

That's a shame, if true. The first game is the best Zelda approximation I've ever played.

Liam O' God is back as War.

Which I'd also assume that Michael Wincott is also back as Death.
I didn't like Darksiders 2 all that much, but Death had one of the coolest voices I've ever heard. Terrific performance and perfect for the character. Really hope Wincott returns here.

This is easily the best trailer they've produced for this game. Looking forward to eventually playing it.

Great trailer, really excited for this game. If it is anywhere near the quality of DS1 and 2, I'll be very happy.

Oddly hyped for this. I've only dabbled in the first game, hoping it won't be a problem understanding the story in this one.

Really a big test for THQ Nordic.

Game looking a lot better in a short period of time. I'm going to pick this up, but my expectations are not that high at the moment.

This trailer was hype. I think they previously showing kinda dull segments of gameplay-combat from starting areas has hurt its image a bit. Hopefully this will be enough to convince people there is more to it than swinging a whip over and over.

Please don't bomb. It being full priced scares me

If you play on PC, it's selling at half price already at cdkeys.com

edit: just saw the alienware stream and they said they made the game in just a bit over 2 years. so yes this is a budget game. but im amazed at what they have been able to make in such a short time.

Played the first one for the first time last month

Held off on the second one to not get burned out. Probably will play it soon enough.

I hope this is good.

Replaying the first one currently has really got me hyped for this. They definitely seem to be trying to evoke the first game with a lot of the locations. I wonder if there will be open areas for a horse or if they've ditched that all together for tighter level design.

And I really hope they've balanced out the economy better this time. 18 hours in to DS1, at the final dungeon, and I'd say at least 3 hours has been grinding to level up weapons and get souls for moves and upgrades and I've probably got at least another 3 to go if I want to get everything.

"You will be hunted! The White City for certain... The council... and... there will be others!"
"You would wage this war alone?!"

"No."
"Not alone."

Still gives me shivers to this day one of my favorite endings ever in a video game. I love the Darksiders franchise and have had this one pre ordered for a long time now, can't wait!

Does this still have a Zelda structure with dungeons and puzzles (do want) or is it focused only on fighting with maybe loot/grinding mixed in (do not want)?

if they wanted people to get hyped, this should have been the first trailer.

Germany
Will it be 60fps on consoles?
Day 1 for supporting the series, publisher and developers, even if i will play it much later, because i still have too many games to play and finish at the moment.

On the alienware stream yesterday they said 30 fps for consoles.

Definitely day one for me. Will be a nice change of pace from red dead and dragon quest. Something easy going and relatively short

Nice to hear that they got the original voices back. I appreciate the consistency even with the low budget of the game.

Still waiting on that X update for the second Darksiders but I'll be picking this up regardless. This style of game is a rare thing nowadays so I'm happy to show support for it.

Did they send this out to die? There's been zero marketing on this, if at all. Also, I doubt everyone has played Darksiders so really they should not just bank on people who want a sequel...

They should bank to people who want a sequel, Darksiders was never an AAA series, THQ wasted million of dollars on Darksiders 2 because they wanted a big AAA action game, but Darksiders was small.

Vigil Games had over 200 employees during Darksiders 1-2 and Darksiders 2 costed 50 million USD, Darksiders 3 budget is even lower than Darksiders 1 and only 40 people worked on the game. Darksiders 3 scope is small, a couple of thousand of copies are enough to make some money and another Darksiders title, THQ Nordic CEO was crystal clear about Darksiders, they are making this game for fans without pouring million of dollars.

Lets hype this up

The character action games need any help possible to stay alive and relevant

I think it's a similar case to Vampyr where 500k copies were considered a great success. The scope on DS3 seems to be even smaller, so the number needed to breakeven is probably lower.
