Only the most recent games cannot currently be pirated on PS4. And you exist in a weird ass market, I generally hear about how dead PS4 markets are in high piracy areas because of how easy it is to get and sell a loaded PS4 and hard drive.
The cost of a second Switch is the same as around 6 games. That should sort of make up for sales that would have been made otherwise. Good.
i live in iran, i can tell you the ps4 market is absolutely booming here. it's the first time i'm ever seeing any meaningful amount of original, non-pirated game being sold, and people spending money on them. before it the market was all about pirated xbox 360 games that you could even buy at super markets for basically the price of the dvd, and before that it was all about pirated ps2 games. ps4 is the first time i'm seeing all the game shops sell proper copies of games and people buying them.
You should probably avoid the main Let's Go thread then, the echo chamber baby raging that is happening in there at every speck of news is shameful. I don't get it honestly, I've bought every mainline Pokémon game and a bunch of the spin offs, and I play the competitive side of the whole thing too, but I'm not too arrogant to believe that every title needs to be aimed at me.

same applies to the switch that the hack remove almost any protection. its extremely easy to run any code that deletes any important file and poof, BRICK

Switch hacking is bottom up with zero protections. You can do almost anything with malicious code.

If you're dumb enough to download a random rom off the net for a game that releases tomorrow, then you deserve what you get.
This was inevitable. Most of the scene is kids/inexperienced leechers, they'll download basically anything if its "first" and the way the hacks on Switch work is that you forfeit all protections from the OS and circumvent it, which means you're basically using the equivalent of a Droid and installing arbitrary packages in CWM. As these packages proliferate and hang around on the internet, someone may find it later or repost it and spread it again. Like a disease recurring.
The more people it catches, the more trolls will want to troll and get better at trolling.
They either refuse to repair it or they send back a patched unit.
Hacking your Switch counts as voiding your warrant afaik. They'll probably send it back.

With this code, with non-NAND and boot recovery, it would be a working piece of hardware but wiped of any Switch related function that can not be repaired or restored.
In the case of more malicious options, it would be broken hardware outright.
