Game Awards Nominations by major publishers, Sony with a big lead.

How many of those 21 nominations for Sony games belong to Spider-Man and GoW?
And I wonder how that compares to the number of Nintendo awards that went to BotW and Oddysey

Xbox/MS games are aiming for GaaS which doesn't lend well on this awards, not saying that they're quality title too of course.
Nintendo had 18 last year. 12 for Odyssey and BotW, and 2 each for MK8D, Splatoon 2 and Mario + Rabbids.
Sony had 9. Horizon Zero Dawn with 6, The Lost Legacy with 3.
<3 Patapon. I haven't played this in YEARS. My last exposure to it was the Patapon/GoW level in Playstation All-Stars. I loved that the Patapons defeated Hades.Fever!

Imagine how many more nominations Astro Bot would've gotten if it didn't have the stink of VR all over it.
on that note,, they ahve a category for mobile games,,why not have a category for Vr games?
Geoff Keighley can you consider for next year a category for VR games?
They do have a category on VR/AR and Astro Bot is nominated.

Almost all Sony's nominations are Spider-Man and GoW outside of ASTRO BOT and Detroit.
In 2017, Zelda won three awards out of the six it was nominated for. Super Mario Odyssey only won for Best Family Game out of the six nominations for it. Nintendo also had more games overall nominated with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Metroid: Samus Returns, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World (seriously, why is Wooly World always snub from Best Art Direction). Although none of them won except Metroid: Samus Returns for Best Handheld Game, a category that Nintendo almost always wins.
They could be nominated for Best Ongoing Game.
You forget the handheld and mobile games that they got nominations for. Also ARMS was nominated for Best Fighting Game.

Astro Bot as a game wouldn't be what it is....without VR....why can't people understand this?

You know, this is just my assumption, but I think he's just joking/sarcastic, lol.
And yes, it's a reference of how Astro Bot is indeed a 100% build for VR game.

I'm wishing all the best for Bend Studio & Days Gone, hope it would have successful launch, great receptions & sales + maybe recognition & award(s) in TGA 2019.
