Angry Joe - Red Dead Redemption 2 Review.

Biggest spoiler is probably a chapter 5 related spoiler. He hints at the ending too.
He states right after the first skit that he wanted to 100% it before reviewing because of how dense it is. Even considered waiting for the online multiplayer first.

First time I've seen someone criticising a critic for taking their time to finish something properly before releasing their review. A 50+ hour game no less as well.
His lowest ever score is a 6 or 5 iirc and that was only given out like twice
Don't know about his site, but I've been watching his videos for a while and he's definitely given out low scores. One of his most popular reviews was of Ride to Hell :Retribution and I'm pretty sure he rated that a 1/10.
I'm pretty sure he gave Kane & Lynch 2 a 2/10 or a 3/10 too. If a game is short and buggy he's very harsh.
This is off-topic, but I can never understand how a buggy mess of a game got such high scores (this is assuming this is Skyrim when it first came out in 2011).

People were may more lenient on Bethesda back in the day.
I think a lot of that has to do with how Bethesda was actually pushing the envelope with its open worlds. But the rest of the industry has more or less caught up, and in some ways Bethesda even regressed.

Skill Up ain't shit compared to Angry Joe.
I love Skill Up but that's just fact, they entirely different beast. Angry Joe has been here for nearly a decade and he has millions of fans.
So? What if we want to discuss a particular review? The official review thread is worthless for actual discussion.

I don't own this website, it's MOD's decision, not mine. I'm just saying that Angry Joe is much bigger and more influencing that Skill Up, which MAYBE why Skill Up's review thread was locked but not this.
Fair enough but in that case we need an official stance from the mods.
Would be nice to get reasoning for why this review deserves its own and separate thread when other threads about individual reviews have been locked quite quickly and redirected back into main review thread.
Am I thread whining with this post? Not sure, I just would love some official word on why X deserves own separate thread where Y doesn't. Comes across as very arbitrary moderation policy.
Can't wait to watch AJ's review later. My daughter actually bought this the other night because she and her boyfriend wanted to play it. I'd been keeping in the dark, but from what I've seen, it looks fantastic.
I agree with a lot of this review. The locked weapons in the store and the broken economy are two points that i especially agree with.
Highish production values, acting and comedy are usually what set apart an Angry Joe video from "Here's another 45 minute review of someone talking over gameplay footage".
Agreed, he puts way more into his content than other reviewers that I've seen. Plus he usually has to buy the games on release day like us in order to review them, which is way it takes him so long.
For me at least the production values alone deserve an individual thread. Angry Joe really works hard on every review. It's not just gameplay and some commentary.
If anyone contacted staff or reported the thread, will anything actually change? because it seems to me that every time someone questions as to why joe or sterling get their own individual threads compared to other content creators out there, the standard response is to stop derailing the thread or contact a mod.
We are having discussions on how we handle review threads going forward. But for now, stop derailing the thread.
Find out. Not sure why you would want to change anything but you do you.
