I can't believe I'm interested in seeing this shit. It's so off the fucking wall it works somehow.

The DeVito joke has a strong ring of truth to it which is that it's way funnier to have the discord between cute little Pikachu and the voice/personality of an old grizzled beat cop. Reynolds sounds like he's just doing his standard wise-cracking main character voice, absolutely nothing about his performance suggests "detective".

Reynolds' voice is too associated with Deadpool at this point. Should have picked someone else

Current release date is a week after Avengers so unless it gets very positive reviews (or moves its release date) I really don't think this will break a billion

The new wave of merch associated to this movie will make billions just by itself. My younger sisters (who are 21 and 16) binged through the first few seasons of the anime because of PokemonGo. Those first 150 pokemons still carry all the weight, even for younger generap.

The pokemon are horrifying but other than that it looks great. I want to see more of that psyduck.

Does 'You can shove it?' has the same ...meaning? as 'Go f*** yourself?'

Asking because in the spanish trailer, the guy said 'Dice que te vayas a la mierda' which I guess it could translate into, well, 'He said Go f*** (or 'screw' i guess) yourself'

There's an implied "up your ass" at the end of "shove it"

I'm not even into Pokémon and think that looks pretty good. I never thought we'd see a live action Pokémon movie. My son is Pokémon mad, so can't wait to show him this when I get home.

I thoigth this would be stupid when I heard about it months back.

This looks so funny and inside-jokey for Pokemon fans. Day 1

If this is a taste of a real open world console Pokemon game, then im all in. I never thought I would want to see live action pokemon but somehow it makes perfect sense.

This cinematic universe will rival the Avengers. Quote me.

That actually looks fun.

For people that are skeptical, Alex Hirsch, the creator of Gravity Falls, is one of the writers, and Gravity Falls is one of the funniest shows in years.

This is the beginning of a Pokemon Cinematic Universe isn't it?
Oh my god, what will this movie unleash? There's countless movies to be made in the world of Pokemon and it's literally the biggest media franchise of all time (in terms of money).

What's scary is that I'm 100% on board.

The only thing that bothers me is Ryan Reynolds voice.
It doesn't fit. Everyone else is hearing a sweet "pika pi" and the main character is hearing a grown up man.
I hope they use a different voice type in Germany.
