So I calculated that in the last 3.5 years I spent $30k on craft beer

I accidentally bought a $8AUD schooner of beer the other night instead of a cider and I wanted to die. I can't imagine multiplying that a thousand times.
I mean I can understand spending that much money on alcohol, I live in Australia so that is just 3 drinks; but on craft beer?!
No sorry your waste is on another level. It's embarrassing. You should feel bad.
Just 8.5k a year is a waste. You could have actually made a difference.

Any real standouts during it? I usually go to my local craft shop every Sunday and try something new. And I don't think I'll approach those numbers, but I feel you on the cost. This one (nice, but nothing exceptional) was £4.95 and they had new ones in for £7.50(!!!). An enjoyable, but increasingly expensive hobby.
Nice OP, what kind of beer do you like? I dont understand how you pay $20 bucks a day on beer though.
Maybe he contributed much more to charity over the years, who knows!

Sounds like an incredibly unhealthy lifestyle. You should of spent it on coaching, physical training, etc. Much better investment.
I don't even make that in two years.
If you have the income to blow on it, fair play to you. It's your money.
That's seems like a pretty excessive amount when applied over the course of years.
You're math or intake is wrong then.
- Spending $27 a day on beer
- Apparently have 11-15 a week (you suggested 2-3 on 3 weeknights / 5/6 weekend)
- Sometimes as much as $10 per beer (top end)
Does not compute. Even at the top, most expensive end you are buying the equivalent of 2.7 a day - 19 a week so sounds like you are really going to be nearer to 25. Over 3 a day.
So either lying about the amount spent or the consumption - hopefully the amount consumed as if you are consuming 3 a day thats incredibly unhealthy. We need to investigate further you're claims and perhaps commission a study

I'm a (non-active) member of a craft beer trading forum and almost everyone spends that much. I find it so ridiculous but it's surprisingly common.
I haven't had a single alcoholic beverage in over a year. Nor have I ever had a craft beer I don't think. Me and OP have nothing in common. Hope you are enjoying yourself though.
