I guess we will see the results of Venom in China this coming BO thread

Venom will be around $675M worldwide by tomorrow's update. Maybe a bit higher. China is looking like $110M this weekend, and the worldwide total was $554M as of Thursday. If I had to guess, I'd say $13-15M for the rest of the world this weekend. Last weekend was $23M.

Safe to assume Venom is doing more than even Sony probably thought during the making of it

Venom on it's way to $800m WW
Imagine how if it was better-reviewed

but there's something I gotta say
The 1st Venom movie is going to be the franchise's peak in B.O
the 2nd Venom movie won't outperform it, unless Audience decided to be unpredictable

e.g: Deadpool B.O vs Deadpool 2 B.O

There was only a $49m difference between DP and DP2. That is not a huge change all things considered. In fact, most of that $49m difference was from the US.

I'm not sure if that will be the case. Venom has fantastic user scores in China and Carnage will be a draw. Just imagine if a renegotiated deal with Marvel let's Sony have Tom Holland appear without burning any bridges.
