Not everything is leaked. Surprises are often kept, so no I'm not wrong in this instance. Are we wrong to expect anything, if the publisher doesn't reveal anything and nothing is leaked beforehand? That makes no sense. You're saying that for something to be reasonably expected, it has to either be hinted at by the event organiser or be leaked, and no other scenario as in a first-party GAME show, where no first-party GAMES are announced? I say that's bs.You have answered your own question there son...unless there were some leaks about a Scarlett/First Party reveal I'm not aware of?....No? Didn't think so.
Also, the "it was a mess" quote is clearly referring to his segment, not the overall show. I mean, unless you think a dev invited to a console event would actually refer to the event as a "mess" afterwards?
Not liking the show as it was is fine, opinions and all. Not liking the show because it didn't meet your unrealistic expectations is disingenuous at best, even those hyping the show didn't expect Scarlett or First Party stuff.
Be realistic, I was disappointed I didn't get to see Ashen or Below as I felt these could have been shown. But I'd also hyped myself up for X enhancements for ME 1, 2 & 3 but I'm not disappointed they weren't announced as it wasn't really on the cards that was just on me.
lmao you're making Christmas dinner tough on me, Larry.
I'm probably gonna buy an Xbox 1X after this show and get Game pass.
Eh, from what I've seen of your posts, you don't really come off as an Xbox fan. Hell, just Ori 1 and 2 being announced on gamepass was enough to make the entire event worth it for me.
Well that's how you top your Black Friday ad. A Ron Burgundy spoof.
Hmmmmmm.....Well that's how you top your Black Friday ad. A Ron Burgundy spoof.
Thank you, Major. Apparently this response from you was extremely necessary as some seem to struggle with basic reading comprehension.I never said it was. I said the amount of TWEETING may be near E3 levels. No where did I claim that the show was equal in tonnage to E3 announcements.

More first party studios means more first party games which means more games launching on Gamepass.
That seems like a good reason to be excited for studio acquisitions.
So don't get hyped and expect things that could very easily not be showcased?Good for you, but as a fan, I already own it on disc, cause I supported them and even imported it cause it never got physically released here in Europe. So much to that.
(2 is already planned to be bought on disc too, if that hopefully gets released)
And yes, these are fantastic announcements, no doubts about that. But also, kinda expected.
I wasn't expecting much and so I wasn't necessarily disappointed. Seeing crackdown 3 again was fine but I'm kinda at a point where I simply don't care until I can actually play it. The studio acquisition itself is great cause Obsidian deserves a bigger budget to play with but I still don't see how these things are worthy of being mentioned in a conference geared towards gamers. It's honestly a little odd.
Plus the fact that Gears 5 wasn't even teased a tad was really disappointing. That franchise is huge in Mexico, it made perfect sense to have some type of Gears presence. All in all it was extremely forgettable and wasn't worthy of a 2 hour conference style event.
Gears has an X018 panel tomorrow.
No, I'm not saying that. I myself expected to see something from Ashen and/or Below, as did you. That is a realistic expectation that didn't end up happening. Not everything is leaked. And yes, devs have occasionally outright said negative towards others in the industry who they work closely with. Just look at Kamiya-san who openly said negative things about Microsoft during a time where they were the publisher of his game, so I don't think it's outlandish for someone with much less of a contract with MS to openly comment about what they think. In this case it looks like it might have been mistranslated to "mess" instead of "chaos", though, so we can discard that - it wasn't even my main point, it just ended my point.
So don't get hyped and expect things that could very easily not be showcased?
I'm Ron Burgundy?
Kinda boring, and all this announcement of new studios wreaks of throwing a bunch of money at things and seeing what sticks.
