Lol @ that translation of "daikonran" in Hashimoto's tweet as "big mess." More like "chaotic," which it was with all those people yelling.
You made my day, good sir!
They are a ton of work and fun to make - but the real hero is the editor/director. He makes it sing. :)

I don't speak Japanese, don't know about you, but I'm going to guess this is simply a case of lost in translation. Don't know why you tried to use it to back up your own opinion as if it would actually mean anything. It was bad and I'm not the only one that thought it was a mess:
More first party studios means more first party games which means more games launching on Gamepass.I'm a huge Xbox fan, have been since the OG, but there really isn't any defending how much of nothing that event was. It's patently ridiculous to think announcing studio acquisitions should be worth shit to the end consumer. Corporate cheerleaders, warriors with an axe to grind? Sure. Whatever. But to build up an event, and they did build it up to be more than it was, and cap the lackluster announcements with fucking STUDIO ACQUISITIONS is like inviting someone over for a turkey dinner, then spreading your arms wide over an array of stale crackers and telling them to be excited for Thanksgiving in 5 years.
If this is all you have to show, don't do it! Just don't do it! Do a normal Inside Xbox that everyone would just ignore and do your FanFest and move on. Don't try and make a showing of a 2 hour long Game Pass ad interspersed with BC announcements and DLC showcases. You're inviting the disappointment and the anger by doing this kind of thing!
Clearly, it's also a case of people having overblown expectations, but when you're sending out Facebook notifs talking about big news and surprises, you have to have something. Microsoft continues to have nothing. I think this would have made for a good normal Inside Xbox to end the year, personally very excited about FFXIII BC, but the studio acquisitions stuff, with the fucking little screen where they tacked on the new studios, infuriates me.
Might want to take it with a grain of salt. Thanks for watching...reading this thread now for the feedback (good and bad)

Good for you, if the show was good you would have perhaps seen some positivity from me. They had a good E3, not every MS show can be a good one, and this one wasn't presented at all well. I said, that at the point in which KH3 was shown, that was the best thing they'd shown so far because it was true, and it really didn't get much better from that point onwards. It was a bad show, and they weren't exactly clear on what to expect otherwise even some of the biggest Xbox fans in the MS Studios thread would also not have been hyping up certain expectations for the show, and Klobrille would certainly not have hyped up Crackdown 3 to be something that it still doesn't look to be. What they showed was (a) not much and (b) underwhelming based on what they promised a.k.a 100% destructibility. They didn't even show enough to confirm that it's true, regardless of the gameplay that they pick & chose to show. They only have 3 months until it ships, so that says to me that they're holding it close to their chests (and that's certainly not because of story spoilers).
Also, Xbox didn't confirm that they were making acquisitions (first-party), nor did they confirm first-party game announcements, but people still expected acquisitions because of leaks, and so if that is reasonable, then so are first-party game announcements. How were those "never going to happen"? If Phil mentioned Scarlett at E3, then why is it suddenly unrealistic to expect more news from that at their next show? It was bad and I'm not the only one that thought it was a mess:

Crackdown 3 looked to have 100% destruction to me, this is confirmed in Windows Central preview. You noticed my posts in this thread?

What a weird tweet to quote. You do realize he's talking the fan enthusiasm hence "the finished the event safely". It's a comment in jest that seemingly flew over your head.
Eh, from what I've seen of your posts, you don't really come off as an Xbox fan. Hell, just Ori 1 and 2 being announced on gamepass was enough to make the entire event worth it for me.And.... I'm an Xbox fan. What's your point here?
Why "Me of all people"? Lol.
Yeeeeah bboooooiiiiii....They are a ton of work and fun to make - but the real hero is the editor/director. He makes it sing. :)
Wasteland 4..another action rpg in the same vein as fallout would be awesome.
NopeAll I wanted to know is news on Below and Ashen. Did they say anything about these games?
It's a machine translation a pretty shoddy one, well not that isn't inline with most of Japanese machine translations.Naw, that's reading too much into it. "Finished the event safely" is just a direct translation (machine translation perhaps?) of what was was written in Japanese, It's a common phrase used to say that something ended without incident.
Edit: But yeah, I imagine the "chaos" he was talking about was the fan enthusiasm.
Chris talked about "Winter of Arcade" happening in December, hinting that big long awaited titles would be releasing as part of it: obviously those two games. All I wanted to know is news on Below and Ashen. Did they say anything about these games?
Not directly. They did talk about a "Winter Of Arcade" event which they will talk about at the Game Awards. I hope that is where we'll hear more on those two.All I wanted to know is news on Below and Ashen. Did they say anything about these games?
Excited for this. Not directly. They did talk about a "Winter Of Arcade" event which they will talk about at the Game Awards. I hope that is where we'll hear more on those two.
As in... he is a person, an individual, just like me and many others in this thread who thought it was a bad show.I don't speak Japanese, don't know about you, but I'm going to guess this is simply a case of lost in translation. Missed the show but from what was shown I guess I didn't miss anything.
Hey, genius....it was never supposed to be at E3 levels - he even says it in his Tweet, FFS! LOL
I thought it was more than that too, how PSX was before the mediocre one last year. At least we got some few trailersFrom the very second this was announced it was explained it was just an inside Xbox show during the fan fest 0X18. I rolled my eyes when everyone was hyping up like it was an old media focused 0X event. Everytime MS tried to reset expectations everyone ignored them.

More first party studios means more first party games which means more games launching on Gamepass.
That seems like a good reason to be excited for studio acquisitions.
Bro, you look like my father-in-law and please. Grow a mustache or something.I never said it was. I said the amount of TWEETING may be near E3 levels. No where did I claim that the show was equal in tonnage to E3 announcements.
