Fortune Island will add a new off-shore area to Forza Horizon 4's map. The fictional island resides in "the remote northern reaches of the British Isles" - Shetland, then - and, like other Forza Horizon expansions before it, will focus on extreme weather conditions and demanding driving: "fierce lightning storms, perilous cliffside dirt roads, and sweeping paved mountain switchbacks under the mystical glow of the aurora borealis"

Looks awesome but way too soon! I played FH4 for like 70 hours and feel like I barely scratched the surface and they are already dropping the expansion, wow.

The base game is guaranteed to be on Game Pass for at least a couple years, right? I'd definitely buy the expansion pass if I knew I wouldn't randomly lose access to the game in a couple months...

Why do they keep saving proper "weather" for the expansions instead of just putting them in the base game? I mean Storm Island and Blizzard Mountain both have better weather systems than FH4 currently.

Hmm i wanted something else like the Hot Wheels Expansion for Horizon 3 and highlighting large drifting zones does not help me to build up hype.

Looked a bit too close to the normal style of the main map. It's just more of that and therefore a bit disappointing.

And I hope Thunder is not island exclusive.

Seems like something that should have been included in the base game given how ho-hum section of vanilla map are and how well it does represent parts of the UKs extremities.

Let's hope it's more thought out than Storm Island was for actually driving around.

Yeah I'm hoping it's more of a rally focus rather than drifting.

That is something I was really hoping for DLC1 as well, but I feel like they would have mentioned it in the announcement if it was going to be a focus.

As someone who got into Forza Horizon after the fact, and just recently purchased Forza Horizon 1, I was super bummed out to find that not only did it add a real rally mode in an expansion DLC, I also could no longer have any way to buy that DLC. So I guess my only (near future) hope is either that it sneaks into DLC1, or is a focus of DLC2!

I still have my original Xbox plugged in for the odd bout of Rallisport Challenge 2 ;)

Thank God they finally put some competent drift roads in the game, it's all I've ever asked for since 3. I'll probably purchase the game and xpac after watching this trailer and seeing that stretch of road.

I can't wait to race at this time of year, at this time of day, localised entirely within my Xbox.

You have good taste.

Also, re: the Rally expansion. Are you using a UK or PAL copy of Horizon? There's a way to get the DLC, I just got it recently.

Looks like a sequel. Playground is a machine. How do they do it without us hearing about their whole studio pulling 100 hour work weeks.
