Wait, hold on. I'm actually getting excited about this event if we are getting a Sunset Overdrive PC announcement, more on The Good Life and some sort of release date for Below.

According to 4 insiders: It's not possible but don't expect it. Microsoft and Obsidian are still in negotiations and the deal (though unlikely) can fall through at any moment and Microsoft won't announce a deal that hasn't been signed yet.
Oh okay...based on Kotaku story few months ago it looked like it was already in final stage. Haven't followed that story afterwards.

I hope any Sunset Overdrive PC announcement comes with an Xbox One X enhancement announcement. I can definitely see that game getting to 1080p/60fps on the X, but even just a resolution boost would be great.

You guys can't discourage me. This is actually a Fable event in disguise. All Fable all day.

I want more OG Xbox announcements today.

Weird that the things I'm excited for most are BC announcements and PC ports.

Except Shonen Jump is a far better name. If I make a fighting game based on the Gears of War characters and call it "Gears Go!" it will still be a crappy name despite it making sense. I'm not knocking on the game at all, just that the title is so uninspired. It reminds me of LawBreakers.
"Jump" is their main brand name. Shonen is just the name of a specific genre of manga. They've been using this style of naming for the games since the Famicon.

The same writer on that kotaku story (Jason Schrier) actually said here on ResetEra that they're still only 90% through negotiations (the same % as they were a month ago). Seems Obsidian and Microsoft are having trouble coming to an agreement on something.

Looking forward to see new/unknown games later but wonder what percentage chance of a Scarlet tease. 10%?

I don't think we are going to get that here. I think if anything we would get teased that next year for release in 2020. I know they talked about working on it at E3 but it's a ways off more than likely so there's not much more they can say,

From what I gathered, if Obsidian is presenting problems in the 9th inning, they will be forced to close down their studio. I don't understand what issues were on the table delaying a possible acquisition.

Yeah I agree that would make more sense but I got thrown with the separate xCloud announcement even though this XO event was just a few weeks away. Made me wonder if that was because they plan to tease Scarlett?

User Warned: Console warring & thread derailment.
To all those who have quoted me for calling Phil a liar... Let's see off the top of my head

https://www.dualshockers.com/phil-s...es-anymore-to-gauge-success-but-active-users/

Xbox immediately proceeded to boast about winning NPD months as soon as they had the chance.

Phil says in an interview that he's not a fan of exclusive content on marketing deals or timed exclusives anymore?

https://www.eurogamer.net/amp/2017-06-12-the-big-interview-xbox-boss-phil-spencer

Proceeds to have 1 year exclusivity on PUBG, Metro Exodus preorder bonus on X1 includes a full game and on PS4 it's a theme or something

He just "doesn't like it" because the big 3rd parties like Ubi, R* and Activision are favoring Sony and not MSFT on this front. But anyways... That's enough on my views on Phil. Didn't mean to turn this thread hostile. Let's just enjoy the announcements and surprises. Good vibes

I'm hoping they found someone to collaborate on the Phantom Dust sequel/reboot with. Maybe Turtle Rock would be a good fit, regardless of acquisition or not. They've done good multiplayer in the past. Wouldn't mind a Voodoo Vince 2 by Playful either. Hopefully those two games being remastered was a sign of MS wanting to resurrect them. Expecting nothing today though except what's already announced.

Phil Spencer clarified IIRC that he doesn't like exclusive DLC for multi platform games and that he doesn't mind timed exclusivity on a game because it isn't locking content away from a game available on all platforms.

Oh, please. Now how the hell could you possibly know the game is gonna fail when they've clearly taken every opportunity to make it the best it can be?

If it would've released shortly after that horrible reveal before when everyone was complaining, I could understand. Not at this stage though. We have every reason to believe this game is going to be a fun, good looking romp at best, and at least as good as the first. Jesus...
Cause nobody cares about Crackdown?
Its one of those games that literally no one ever talks about aside of saying "here it is,delayed again".

It looks like a PS3 game and it took like 5 years to develop, in the same time Sony developed several high quality games that actually look from this gen.

And on top of that it seems they might end up selling just a campaing with a separate multiplayer. If this game sells even decently it will be a miracle.

Fifa had exclusive DLC/modes with the Xbox versions of the titles up until only the most recent releases.

Also, a bit of a nonsense excuse by Phil because those who don't care for DLC can at least enjoy the game the same time as everyone else, whereas with timed exclusivity on a platform they don't own, they can't. Better yet, without timed exclusivity, gamers who are interested in DLC can just wait until DLC exclusivity expires and then buy the game for even cheaper post launch, so Phil's excuse doesn't seem very genuine or well thought out.

Halo and Sunset Overdrive PC ports, those are the most likely announcements. I'm most excited for X enhanced backwards compatible titles though.

Reach for the MCC and a Fable tease would be gravy.
