Just a warning-- I will never, ever use emojis for anything. Ever. In any capacity, in any context. They're the work of the devil. It's for the best, really, since all I'm able to do these days is roll my eyes at everything, which is pretty much a direct result of my extended time here. ...Kidding, I lost my sanity like 20 years ago.

Also, I look forward to 24 different things not embedding correctly on mobile.

Btw, I just thought of Adam. I wonder what he thinks of all of these. I hope he comes back now that we seem to be finally correcting this darkest time line.

Ha, I've been thinking about him too for a while, and others from the old site who decided to take a break.

I haven't seen him around, although I probably just figured it was a different Adam if it's true he's around here, along with others.

Orange County is going to have an all Democrat house delegation that is fucking W I L D
Knowing the area, it is very wild indeed.

I also read a fun article about this a couple of days ago:
An obituary for old Orange County, dead at age 129
"Orange County," the California collection of 34 cities and 3.2 million residents once described by President Reagan as where "all the good Republicans go to die," died Tuesday. It was 129 years old.

Long famous for its wealth, whiteness and conservative values, Orange County is survived by its offspring, who include a population that is about 60% people of color, some of the most crowded and poor neighborhoods in the United States and a Republican Party that's on the ropes. Once reliably red, the official cause of O.C.'s passing is a case of the blue flu, which turned its politics more purple than Barney the dinosaur.
Mourners may see an O.C. that, outwardly, looks little changed, like Vladimir Lenin's corpse. The GOP still dominates local politics, and the county's median household income of $90,000 remains $25,000 higher than the state's. But in the current decade, a new generation of Latino activists successfully sued O.C. cities to implement district elections, and has begun to get more minorities elected. And those few millennials who could afford to stay in their parents' paradise increasingly voted for Democrats
Orange County is survived by Scottsdale, Ariz., Plano, Texas, and other once-sleepy burbs that now host former residents who still want to live in a booboisie bubble. In lieu of flowers, please send condolences to the Republican Party of Orange County — because it's likely next.

Wait, how is it an all-Dem house in the OC. Didn't Young Kim win her race?

Not yet, and looking likely to flip, her margins are decreasing by the day. lol CA Mail voting. Last accepted votes could have been received TODAY (Friday), just had to be postmarked by Election Day.

If only WA-03 could get their act together, we could have the entire Pacific coast.

Technically these race haven't been called yet (California doesn't certify election results until some time in December since lots of ballots are mailed in). But based on the current vote difference, Cisneros could actually end up winning (he's behind but the vote margin is small). Late mailed-in ballots tend to trend Democratic.

What the hell is happening in Florida? I'd rather take the L with Nelson than ever see evidence of cheating. The OT thread is making me sweat

I'll make up for it, I use them constantly.

At this point I don't think trump will force anyone out unless they are so deep in indictments and legal trouble they can't do their job. His base doesn't care, so he doesn't care.

As a Floridian, let me assure you that we are this fucking inept at democracy, the shrieks from the GOP are simply opening salvos if/when the recount ends up in court.

If you want a taste of how stupid this all is, go read up on the "Brooks Brother Riot"

You'd think Florida would figure out how voting works after 2000 when the freaking Supreme Court had to weigh in on the vote there

Trump sounds like he would start a war and then end it in some catastrophic way just to celebrate and earn praise.

Guys can we stop talking about the mid terms and talk about things that the people actually care about, like the caravan.

Damn, Arizona Democrats are up to 29 seats in the State House. 30 would tie and 31 would be the majority outright. Dunno if there's even a chance of picking up one more from the outstanding ballots, but that seems like a damn good result to me - especially since the Senate was considered more of a Tossup.

AZ should definitely be a target for 2020, that and NC could net EC votes. Along with *bible thump* Mark Kelly for Senate
