PLEASE GEOFF. This is the one I'm hoping for the most.

To be fair, that Hasan guy who said Rocksteady was unveiling their project Q1 of 2019 isn't verafied on here anymore, so maybe he's not as much in the know as he led on.

My list of reveal hopes are these:

- Rocksteady DC game
- WB Montreal DC game
- Avengers Project(they said we'd see more in 2018, the year is almost up)
- Jedi Fallen Order(probably not, but would be cool)
- More Ghost of Tsushima
- TLOU II
- Some new AAA game that completely catches me by surprise and knocks my socks off
Do you know what needs to happen for someone to have their "Verafied" status removed? He's an actual legit journalist from what I've read.

The Harry Potter games is a sure thing. A release date for TLOU and gameplay footage for Bayo 3 and MP4 will be awesome.

I wouldn't say no to Metroid trilogy. I still haven't beaten the first game..

I believe everyone's favourite Wario might have happened across one of the announcements (it's actually out two days after the awards, but yeah):

Here's a question for Geoff Keighley:

Why is it that in the marketing leadup to The Game Awards every year, even less than a month out, your marketing never states the time that the show begins? It's utterly bizarre--Here we are on November 9 and the marketing videos you churn out never state an exact time.

This video for last year's awards was posted on November 9, 2017: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmzZoZQaUdw. What's missing? You guessed it: a time.

"The Game Awards 2016," you say? This video was posted on November 16, 2016 for a show airing on December 1(!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDdnWxhmNhw. "Come check out our awards show in two weeks, everyone! "What time," you ask? Hell if we know!

2015? Posted November 15, 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_veUebWvFLY. "Yeah, buddy! Come watch our show on December 3 at who knows when! We're confident you'll find it online sometime that night."

Why does an awards show have announcements, again?

I'll probably still watch it like a mug just in case MP4 gets revealed.

A show being only 4 years old so maybe not that much of a milestone. Announcements are all well and good but I imagine it won't boil down to much more than teasers so I have my expectations balanced.

The show is global so the time is different for everyone - heck, it's actually December 7 in Europe and Asia when it airs.

I hear your point. We tend to focus on the exact hour/time tune in as we get closer to the show. The show is always the same time every year.

Appreciate the feedback.

I believe that's the point of time zones.

You tell people what time it is in one or two of them and others can extrapolate.

Heck, you could even pull an Overwatch and post a map with times on each country/city.

looking forward to the show.
It isn't perfect but I love Geoff's positivity and hype.
I hope it grows more and more every year.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond, Geoff, and I was probably too sarcastic. I guess my point is that I don't understand why, even say a month out, there isn't a statement of the time as EST and GMT, and then let individual viewers take it from there.

This joke/criticism has probably already been made but they should rename this to The Game Announcements. Because that's the only reason people watch it and the majority of the show consists of trailers, not awards. Hell, some of the award winners aren't even announced on the show.

As for results, I predict the following:
Best Xbox Game: RDR2
Best PS4 Game: RDR2
Best Writing: RDR2
Best Presentation: RDR2
Best Sequel: RDR2
Best Immersion: RDR2
Best Weightiness: RDR2
Best Metacritic Score: RDR2
Best Arbitrarily Delayed PC Port: RDR2
Best Game That Won't Be Remembered As Fondly In A Year: RDR2
GOTY: RDR2

I'm still hoping for Banjo being as announced in Smash. I know it's not happening, but my friend sold me on it.

I'm a bit sad that The Game Awards end up being more focused on game trailers and announcement rather than celebration for the developer. I feel like rather than game trailers, I'd rather have a short video of the developer talking about the games that win award, what's their inspiration, maybe some behind the scene footage or showing game under development and see how far they've gone till the final release. just some story development to share, I really enjoy story like that.

Honestly? I don't care about the awards, I just want game announcements
