Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond - Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton (Doc, Bio, Netflix Original)
Mudbound (Drama, Netflix Original)
Yay Netflix thread. I know I'm a few years late but I just started getting into Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and I'm loving it. I laugh out loud multiple times per episode. Up to episode 10 now.
Gonna start up Punisher at some point today. (I haven't watched any of the other series since Jessica Jones - that won't be a problem, right?)
Watched the first two episodes, it's crazy intense. That looks like a real-life take on the 2014 movie Nightcrawler. Intriguing. Anyone watched this yet?
Yeah, I loved the doc (and movie) too. It is crazy how Jim essentially embodied Andy to the point where it almost wasn't method acting anymore. He literally disappeared into that character. This Jim & Andy doc is tremendous. Man on the Moon is one of my favorite movies, so seeing this backstage doc is just amazing.
Jim really should have won an oscar for that movie.
Ash vs Evil Dead seasons 1 and 2 for us in December, cant wait, I didnt even finish S1 back then.
People really need to watch Shot In The Dark, it's very good and it's barely getting mentioned by anyone.
It's a reality show.
Looks like it is a must watch then.it's great. imagine a threesome between deadwood, westworld and true grit. you get Godless.
Dayyyyum. You just sold me.it's great. imagine a threesome between deadwood, westworld and true grit. you get Godless.
Looks like Netflix stole the pictures of a VHS they used for the Stranger Things Blu Ray and Netflix isn't responding to the copyright holder of the picture: https://petapixel.com/2017/11/27/netflix-stole-vhs-cassette-photos-stranger-things-boxed-set/
He probably can't even claim copyright on it as an original work. He did nothing transformative to the VHS tape and he certainly didn't design or hold the copyright to that.
They took a picture of a VHS tape. Oh no, the horror. My copyright!
He literally took a picture, top down, of a VHS tape. If they had taken a bit of artwork. A photo the guy had taken or an image he had masterfully adapted into a promo shot of the show, mweh, fine mate, you have a point. But a photo of a VHS tape? Is that really something you need to be worked up about?

A top down picture of an item made with the purpose of showing said item? I'd be amazed if that held up.I mean, this kind of flies in the face of photography in general. I'm fairly certain it is considered transformative.
