I enjoyed the demo but if not for the visuals I'm not sure to what extent I would have. Unfortunately, I just don't enj
I'm not huge on Tetris. If not for the music and visuals of the demo, it would just be another Tetris game. But I loved the music and visuals. So I'm trying to decide if I should get it or just get Lumines Remastered or Rez Infinite, both games I actually enjoy the gameplay of and both cheaper even after my Best Buy GCU, and wait for Tetris Effect price to drop.

It happens when a game transitions from preorder to regular purchase sometimes. You've probably missed out on the preorder discount/content but it'll be back soon.
Thought I'd get it but 40€ is kinda much for tetris. 25 was something I'd easily pay. Will have to think about this.

This is a very emotional experience. I have never played a game quite like this. I've never been a real fan of Rez, Lumines was fun but not my all time favorite, Tetris never really clicked for me, but this game is bringing out a state of euphoria in a way that I've never felt with a game.

I figured that was the issue. I could see the price with discount before I clicked in on the playstation, but no price/buy option when in the game page.
Really enjoyed the demo on this, will pick it up soon.

This is pure bliss. Even in non vr mode. Wish my eyes weren't so tired from the long day otherwise I'd play much longer. Can't wait to jump back into vr mode tomorrow
What do you mean ambient? Like, songs without lyrics?
By the way this is by far the best game of the year, bar none.
chimes and other stuff that's more fitting to background music than actual music game tracks. some of the tracks remind me of Chime, before the tracks in that game get fully going.
there doesn't seem to be many songs with vocals in tetris effect from what ive seen.
Edit: the broadway/new York looking level has the worst music by far.
Really enjoyed playing this for half an hour when it unlocked last night, can't wait to play more when I get home.
I said this in the demo impressions thread, but the 1.4 release build seems to have much more vibrant colours, slightly different music arrangements (see Jellyfish Symphony stage, unless it was just because I was playing better), and a different stage order.
Main takeaway is it is fucking gorgeous on my Sony 930E, the HDR is godlike and brightness level 6 is eye-searing.

Oh wow, we have quite different tastes - I thought the Jazz music in that level was amazing :D
It's so pretty. And yeah, the demo levels are just a preview of what's to come. The songs seem to cap off the sequence finale, with a lot of interesting sound effect/ambient/tonal experiments in between.
ya I don't like much jazz, im not very fond of the jazz infused music Nintendo has been using for its Mario titles either.
Yeah, ditto, kinda frustrating, but went with a digital copy in the end..
Ya, I love the Jazz level, in fact I'm playing chill marathon on that level now.
The drum solo remind me of Birdman.
