Fusion characters in DB are the Buster armors of Tony Stark in Marvel: useless.
CGI is iffy but the animation looks amazing, like complete sakuga fest amazing.

I would mainly be sad that we won't get to see UI with this amazing animation and budget.
What? Maximum the Hormone's F was literally the reason RoF exists.
Gogeta will probably appear, but I still dislike the idea of Vegeta learning the fusion dance since it feels so out of character for him. He'd basically have to pull it off perfectly with Goku in the heat of the moment which would feel like an asspull to me
The anime and manga are separate things. The anime actually covers things first, then the manga tells an alternate version of it later on.

They didn't omit it, the manga is way behind the anime and the anime isn't based on the manga.
Aside from Goku's face this doesn't look that bad.
In fact I would say Vegeta looks pretty good.
They could probably just handwave it as "Learned it by watching Goten and Trunks". Dumber things have been done in this series.

He said in the manga during the Buu arc that he saw the dance.
The issue is even if you learn the motions (which would probably need to be adjusted for different proportions anyways), the harder part of the dance was always doing it in perfect sync with your partner
It's been a recurring plot thread in Super that Goku and Vegeta need to learn to be better in sync. This would be the perfect way to cap it off.
Even as a kid Goku could learn techniques from just seeing them once. If I recall correctly Tien too could learn techniques from just watching them. If Tien can I'm sure Vegeta can, too.

Hard to say, but it's very suspect that movie merch ends in February. Seems like they don't want to oversaturate the market so they can do more merch for this when the show retells it.
I feel like Goku and Vegeta are really fucking bad at syncing up with each other though. And even if it came easier than with the kids, I still feel like they shouldn't be able to do it perfectly first time. Hell, even the movie Gogeta originated had them fail once and become Veku for 30 minutes
