Nintendo just needs to open the floodgates already. If they wanna add online features to some of them after the fact that's all well and good but they need to stop with this slow trickle of releases BS.

Eh.

Twinbee is cool as fuck, though.

I just don't see this as good value. Three NES games a month added to the library doesn't excite me. I

Amen. Also offer SNES and N64 games already.

At least Metroid is cool to have I suppose. Though I've already paid for it like 3 times in my life now.

Twinbee is fun. I ended up picking that up on the 3DS last year I think and enjoyed it a good bit. Should be interesting to see how it looks on my TV. Metroid is always good and more should play the original. I've never played Mighty Bomb Jack before.

Dunno about the games, but this trailer look so poorly made. Literaly the clips from the first minute of play of each game.

If this is the pace they go...We might have a respectable library in like 3 years.

I'd be down for a "S" version of Metroid with a map. Doubt they'd put that much effort in though. The "S" version of Zelda was apparently just a save state where someone already had made enough progress to have a bunch of items unlocked.

I mean, we've known about these releases since before the launch of the app. You can go to Nintendo.com and see exactly what games are coming what month for the rest of the year. Why is anyone surprised by this?!

Before the lineup was announced, 'Mighty Bomb Jack' was the next game in my NES playlist, so I'm glad that I can play this on Switch.

The counterpart is that I wasn't interested in none of the games of the past month.

I've unironically been waiting for this batch

Twinbee and Mighty Bomb Jack are great and I'm going to enjoy booting them both up from time to time.

Metroid.... well, guess they had to add that one too at some point.

Can they at least make it like... 3 NES games and 1 SNES and 1 N64 game or something :(? Nintendo, please, I want any excuse to make me sign up for your dumb service.

Gotta commend Nintendo for creeping their way into anti-consumer bullshit.

Metroid? Like, THE Metroid?! What a unique and special opportunity to play this for the very first time. Wow!

At 3 NES games a month this is worse drip feeding than even the Wii U had.

Haha wow. That's. Wow. 3 more old ass nearly unplayable unless you have the stomach for it NES games.

I still remember when the virtual console was announced, I thought it would be like browsing the Alexandria library of games. So naive..

It's like the Wii all over again. In one year we'll get Super Mario 64 and a year after that we'll get Wave Race.

I see Nintendo is back on that Virtual Console release schedule. I look forward to 2021 when they finally add SNES games

Might pick up a NES and snes classic. It would be nice to have it all in one place but I suppose that won't be until the end of life of the switch at this rate.

The reactions here are a bit troublesome, I mean are people even able to read nowadays?

The whole NES lineup for this year is already well known and published by Nintendo?

Bruh...don't even try. I said the same thing at the top of the thread and people are still out of sorts. Trolls are gonna troll.

I'm actually really excited for Twinbee, after seeing Jeremy Parish's Nes Works on it.

A nice reminder that you can be a paid subscriber in the US and still freely access the Famicom app--and thus enjoy the Famicom Disk System version of Metroid (complete with its extra channels of sound) on the same day. I heartily recommend doing so, if you're gonna use the Switch as an excuse to replay Metroid on the go.
