The grassroots energy can't overcome the gerrymandered Senate map w/ mass white rural overrepresentation.
Got high hopes for Iowa when the polls close in 20 minutes. We could go from one dem congressman to 3 dem congressmen (maybe 4 if Scholten pulls off the upset!) plus a democratic governor. Course, we swung righter than anyone expected in 2016 so maybe I should keep my hopes down.
He'll be "dissapointed" in everything Trump Says but vote with him 98% of the time.
So probably a McCain or a Flake.
I ate fried chicken and tater wedges. I can't drink because I need to go sell my old laptop for $300.
There are reasons to be disappointed though.
Florida is being a huge disappointment tbf.
I honestly thought Gillum was going to win.
And they refuse to get ride of Rick Scott for some reason.
Flake. He is there to make himself look good and vote party line.
I don't know why I allowed myself to get my hopes up with the early returns.
It means we'd have an Attorney General which wouldn't have to recuse himself or herself from the Russian investigation. And if the Republicans win a few seats in the Senate, they could confirm whomever they wanted...
Regardless of the final results, these are not "Blue Wave" numbers. More like an average midterm shift. That's not good enough.

Honestly there's been some decent outcomes tonight. I'm willing to celebrate the small victories for now.
Who knows- if house turns Dem I don't see Trump getting away with firing Rosenstein.

Pretty much. I don't live in Florida, but I'd be a lot more bummed if I lived there with Gillum losing.

That's true. It is a divided nation and GOP capitalized very well on 2016 results. 2020 is a freaking enigma, especially if Dems won't be able to find a strong candidate.

I'm really glad it looks like Dems are gonna grab the house, and facking jubilent at the possibility of Beto doing it, but Gillum (and probably Nelson as well) losing it in FL is a crushing blow. I really thought we could turn it around.
Nice to see dog racing get banned and #4 passing is REALLY good, but man...
